I enjoyed our stay at the Portofino, enjoyed lunch at Mythos, loved spending time browsing the shop windows in WWoHP (such detail!), and loved riding the "old-fashioned" rides: Men in Black, The Mummy, and yes, even ET.
But the newer rides that jerk you around in your seat in front of screens - Forbidden Journey, Transformers, Spiderman, Simpsons - they just made me nauseous. They just weren't fun. Minions wasn't as bad as the other ones - but it was the first one I did that day, and it did make me a little nauseous. I cannot imagine riding these more than once. Mind you, we had the golden ticket - the unlimited resort express pass. But we didn't feel like riding any of these a second time.
And the water rides are more like soaking rides than water rides.
The future of rides seems to be these 4-D rides that combine movement with screens, but it's hard to enjoy them when they just make you nauseous. I really lament this because we would love to go back to the Portofino more frequently, but the parks are not a big attraction for us.
