Hi What do you think? It will be my daughter's 6th birthday while there. I also have a one year old. Do you think we have too many buffets or is that good with small kids? I'm making my ADR's next Sunday.

Dinner-Teppan Edo
Dinner-Crystal Palace
Dinner-Ohana (if I can get)
Dinner-Chef Mickey's
Breakfast-CRT Dinner- 1900 Park Fare
Dinner- Chef de France

I thought of changing Crystal Palace to Liberty Tree Tavern? Then 2 people told me they got sick after eating at 1900 Park Fare so now I'm questioning that but my daughter really wants that one for her birthday. Let me know what you think? Thanks!

If it were me I would ditch 1900 PF all together and go somewhere else, swap Chef Mickeys dinner for breakfast

We find the buffets to be a great deal with our kids (they'll be almost 5 on our upcoming trip). They can try different things and still get the "standards" that I know they'll eat.

1900 Park Fare is our DDs favorite, hands down. I would not base a decision not to go there on a couple of people getting sick. Food Born Illnesses can occur as a result of something someone ate 24 - 48 hours previously, not necessarily the last place they ate. If your DD wants to go there, I say go for it.

We love 1900 Park fare, I would keep it, it is my older 2 girls favorite place to eat! You can never have too many buffets with kids, a million choices for them LOL

Never too many buffets. :worship: Especially if you have a big group with a lot of picky eaters. :dance3:
Don't feel bad. We will be a party of 6 adults and 2 kids in Sept. Our ADR's include:
'Ohana dinner (all you can eat)
Garden Grill dinner (all you can eat)
Boma dinner buffet
Crystal Palace breakfast buffet
Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet

As a matter of fact there is only one day we will be able to choose from a menu, and that will be at 50's Prime Time.

Enjoy your trip! :flower3:

I like buffet b/c you can try different food instead of just one thing. My son doesn't eat hot dogs, chicken nuggets, mac&cheese. He loves vegatables, grilled chicken, tofu and eats off adult menu so buffet is best for our family b/c of choices for him. My husband on the other hand is not thrilled with buffet but will go along...my husband does like Tusker House breakfast buffet, CP and 1900 Park Fare Breakfast (not dinner) and Boma Breakfast.

Plus the thing with that alot of people blame it on the previous thing they ate for the reason they got sick, alot of the time it happens from something you ate days before so i dont know how someone could break it down to a particular place and know that is the place that made them sick.

The only reason I try to limit my buffets is I can't make myself stop eating.:rotfl:

If you have better control than I do, you should be okay.

Disney Buffets work for us! We like the variety for ourselves and DD's 4+5.We have 10 TS meals for September, and 8 of them are buffet or family style!:thumbsup2

I don't think you have too many. My DD loved her birthday at PF in 2007-she was 8. We had a late ADR so the place was pretty empty (it was our last day). She had a wonderful time with all the characters but most especially the Mad Hatter, Alice, and Mary Poppins. Alice and MH were great-the kept in character and kept making fun of each other, and DD as well. MP was also very good. She stayed in the lobby until after we left (I think there were only 2 more groups left in the whole place.) My DD spend quite a while seating on the bench next to Mary, talking to her (one of her favorite activities-talking to adults! :lmao:)

Unless they've changed it, one of my DD's fav things about PF is the lowered kid's food area. She was able to get her own food with any help.

We are going back to PF this year on her birthday again, but this time for dinner. We haven't seen the Steps yet. Sounds like it's a lot of fun! :rotfl2:

Personally I would skip CM (too many bad reviews) and try for Dinner with the Princess at Restaurant Akershus-but that's just me.

Have a great time.

There is no such thing as too many buffets. I am travelling with a 2 year old with a healthy appetite during free dining and she gets no dining credits. It is only prudent of us to do all buffets and family style. If it sounds good to you - go for it!

I think buffets are great for small kids - quick access to food and such a range that hopefully you will find things they will eat!

As for swapping Crystal Palace to Liberty Tree Tavern - NO! NO! NO! DON'T!

We had a surprisingly great meal at CP and one of the worst of any of our many trips at LTT . So much so that DH (normally a pretty much 'go with the flow' sort of guy) complained. We won't be going back to LTT.

Looks good to me . Had dinner & breakfast at 1900 many of times and all were good. :thumbsup2
I have learned to go an try places for myself. Everybody likes different things.

I don't think you have too many buffets. We have a ton of buffet places planned for our next trip since our DS loves seeing the characters. I haven't been to LTT but we did eat at CP on our last trip and really enjoyed it. :goodvibes

I think buffets will be great especially with the ages of your children. My kids get impatient waiting on food and it is nice to be able to just go get your own. Plus the variety usually suits everyone.
Have a great trip!
