Also, after coming on this site, I do realize that Disney acronyms are pretty universal. Pardon the pun.
My two cents.
Oh no she didn't!

I'd like to create a new acronym, BADHA, which you all have proudly earned!
...could lighten up a bit on the abbreviations, or, as one poster recommended, spell it out once, and then abbreviate after, especially when context is important
For nearly 3 decades, my schooling and jobs have been full of Three Letter Acronyms (TLAs) and creative uses of language from people around the world. When the reader is not fully aware of the context, or when English is not their primary language, these convenient abbreviations - to quote Sir Topham Hatt - "cause confusion and delay". When people's time and attention are limited, it's helpful when one can read something and understand it as it's being read.
Here's one you probably haven't heard before . . .
My job title of Judicial Secretary was recently changed to Administrative Support Specialist, hence . . . A.S.S.
Totally unrelated to Disney, but just had to share. Someone obviously did not think that through!![]()

Well stated.
Consider this. We all post because we would like to have others hear our opinions and stories. We post to learn. We read the posts to gather information and to be entertained. How many people when seeing the acroynms abandon the reading of the posting? When that happens, your opinion and stories are not heard. When that happens, the advice you may have sought is ignored by someone who may very well have given you priceless information or help.
I wouldn't think many would walk away. Most would do the adult thing and ask if they were confused. Not just throw their hands up in the air, say "Wow this is all too much for my brain to comprehend!" and leave.

I have what I call a 'can't be bothered' filter. Too many acronyms, and I'm off. I don't have the time or the inclination to work out some of these posts - and I certainly don't have time to spend ages going and looking everything up.
I'm sorry if this is out of line but the acronyms are getting out of control on this forum. Half the time I can't figure out what the poster is trying to say.
Is it really that hard to just type the word? At least use the word once and then abbreviate it so people that don't live on this board 365 days a year know what you are talking about. I've been building up to this post for a while so please don't think any one person's post is why I am writing this.

This thread was on its way to zombie stage with my glad tidings. Who woke this monster up?
I'll say it again. Posters will use acronyms that not everyone will understand. Asking them (us) to change that is pointless. If someone who doesn't understand an acronym is too proud to ask what that means or "can't be bothered", then I don't think they really cared about the answer in the first place. And therefore I don't care that I used a commonly-used acronym within this fan community.
