Too long between visits

It will be just over a year when we go this August. We even went to see my parents in Bradenton, FL in February and bypassed Disney.

Both my DD and I were in such a state of sadness as we drove by (we flew in and out of MCO) that I told my parents that I will now continue to visit them every February while they are in FL but I will be ending every trip with a stop at WDW.

At least it will only be 6 months now...I have a feeling that even that will seem too long!

We have two trips planned for this year. One starts in a couple of weeks and the other is over Thanksgiving. However we are planning Aulani for next year and haven't added any actual WDW trips as of yet. I am hoping we will be able to do at least a short trip, but not really sure. 2013 (crazy to think that far out) will be DLR again.

Kids and I last went almost a year back: July '10. Our next trip is in Dec '11. That's an 18 month break when I got used to going every 4 months. The wait for our Christmas trip is KILLING me. Down to 199 days! It's inching along.

I'm desperate for a trip right now, but in my current position I can't take time off until December anyway... and that's assuming they convert me to employee in August. I'd take just a 4 day trip to sit by the VWL quiet pool and stand on the beach watching the EWP pass by if I could.

Weeks since last DisneyWorld trip for me -- one-hundred one.

Since last trip: started new teaching position, wife had DS with preyclampsia, DS spent 2.5 weeks in NICU, wife had appendicitis the next month (yea, winter of '09-'10 was fun), took tour group of students to DC for three days, DD turned 2, my wife and I had an anniversary of my 39th b-day, wife and DD went to Universal and Disney for a long weekend, DS turned 1, took another group of students to DC, and DS is finally walking on his feet occasionally, rather than his knees.
