Too late to make ADRs?

I am so confused...I thought you could only make dining reservations 90 days out - that is what the Birnbaum's guide has - and now i have learned that it is actually 180 days away. We are going Dec 23-27 and i know that is a busy time of year...we were considering adding the dining plan and someone mentioned making sure we could get ADRs...do you think its too late to get reservations? I have an idea of where i want to eat, but not sure on which days because i am not sure what parks i will be at. I might to tour guide mike's but since i booked vacation through dreams unlimited, i wasn't sure if they did the same itinerary planning and i think i am supposed to let them make my ADRs anyway...my agent is away on vacation right now so i am really unsure of what to do. I also thought with Dreams Unlimited that they would have said something about it being time to make ADRs...but nothing was mentioned so i didn't even realize i could be making them.

On a side note - where would you eat Christmas dinner...someone suggested Chef Mickey's but wondering what the atmosphere would be like.

Sorry so long...

Thanks for your help!

I would call and make the ADR's to make sure you can get what you want. If you get what you want then add on the dining plan if it makes sense for your family.

Even if you don't get dinners, you'll more than likely be able to get lunch ADRs.

As for Chef Mickey's, that was our original plan for Christmas Day but it really is pretty loud (although lots of fun) and decided 1900 Park Fare would be a bit more enjoyable for my family. I'm also anxious to see the gingerbread house at GF--when we were there in November last year it was just being assembled and I didn't get to see it completed.

I agree with the pp...make your ADRs now and worry about the DDP later. I was in the same boat (though not going over Christmas) and hadn't made any ADRs yet for our October vacation. I started earlier this week and so far have booked everything I wanted (Liberty Tree Tavern for MNSSHP, Ohana, LeCellier, 50's Primetime, Chef Mickey's, etc.). All the CM's I've spoken to have been super nice and helpful. I would tell them the restaurant and the date and give them a time span (Ohana's, Oct. 21 between 6 and 7 PM). Then they would tell me all the available openings. It made making ADRs soooo much easier!

Good luck and get on that phone! :teeth: 407-WDW-DINE! :teeth:
