Too late for Easter hols 2009?

We were planning to return May next year but now have a wedding which clashes. Never tried for Easter before but suspect left it too late for flydrive package? we can go 1 week ether side of usual 2 week hols as DS still young enough to take out of school for 1 week

It may be tight with flydrives but if you book flight and car themelves you will be fine as flight onlys come out about 336 days before the actual flight date. Are DS's hols dates the traditional Easter or new first two full weeks in April, as that may make a difference as flydrives may still just be available.

they are the 6th April for 2 weeks but we could go 1st or start our fortnight beginning of the second school week

Easter is April 12th next year so I would say go a week earlier if you can.

Virgin Holidays still have flydrives departing Sunday March 29th for two weeks.

Hi, sorry to 'butt in' on this post, but I'm in a similar position to KAZ65 and was wondering, what comparison engines do you use for flydrives??I just can't seem to find any!!

I need flights only really but was told a flydrive may be cheaper at Easter than a flight?? However I was quoted £2500 for 2 adults and 1 child for 11 nights at Easter 09 with Virgin-flydrive(i thought price was ridiculous).

Cheapest flydrive i can find for 1 week is £1583-charter co.

Those of you who are 'in the know'-will i get flights cheaper than these flydrive prices if i hang on for the 11 month window???

Iam you could well get cheaper as a DIY booking at the 11 month window direct with an airline. I notice VH's prices for Easter start quite late and you could get off around 4th/5th for quite a saving compared to the 10th onwards.

As for price comparisons I check all the online companies I know. Could also try Expedia, Ebookers etc for flight/car combinations.
