Too intimate???

Don't get excited, it's not that kind of thread.

I have a male mancurist, I really like the work that he does and have recommended him to may people. Anyway, a friend of mine wanted to know where I went to get my nails done. I gave her the name of the nail place and who to ask for. (You can't tell if it's a man or woman from the name) I really didn't think to mention that he was a man. She called me last night all ticked off that I didn't mention his gender. She thinks that a man doing your nails is too intimate, the fact that he is holding your hand. At first I thought she was joking, but nope!!

LOL, I am a manicurist and I had to laugh. To each their own. It's not like holding hands on a date for goodness sakes. And if she is heterosexual, wouldn't holding a womans hand be more strange (if she sees it as an intimate act)?

I do want to add though, there have been a few men who have made me 'slightly' uncomfortable while giving them a pedicure...because they have made sort of off color comments about me touching them. I don't have a very large male clientele, so nothing i really deal with on a regular basis. People are weird.
