Too hot to tent camp in July???

I was talking to my boss today and he was trying to discourage me from camping in Florida in July.
He said it doesn't cool off at night and will be too hot to sleep in a tent.

I am worried now and need to get my excitement back!!!
Please tell me he's wrong!

People say it's too cold to camp in the winter, people say it's too hot to camp in the summer. So when are ya spose to camp ??
I say go for it,,ya camp when you can and when you want to,

We always go to Fort Wildnerness in July and it is hot. But, there are alot of people tent camping when we are there. I have seen alot of tents set up with a portable air conditioner and some with just fans.

We've camped at Ft Wilderness in June, July, and August... Yes, it's definately hot. I would suggest you bring a good fan; but even in the summer we used a light cover in bed at night. Plan to go to the pool in the heat of the day and you'll be fine. (The other big issue in the summer is the rain. The key to camping and having a good time is being prepared for those two weather conditions).

We tent camped last year the first week in July and 3 years ago we tent camped the last week in June at the fort. It was me, DH and three DDs. It was never "that" bad at any time at night. In fact, there were a couple of nights we were glad we had a light blanket to cover up with. We were at the parks for most of the day, but a couple of times we did come back to our tents for the younger girls to take a nap and go swimming. We did have fans that we kept on at night and it helped out. We didn't have an AC, but with one, you should be very comfortable.
