Do you have the Weather Channel online in the UK? If so, you can see what the weather will be like. If not, to sum it up it will be about 90 degrees and humid (we leave in 2 days so I'm watching). You will definitely want breaks!! If you can get disposable or light weight rain ponchos, they are a good thing to pack as it usually rains in the afternoon, and the forecast is calling for rain every day this coming week.

Have a great trip!

The weather in the summer is summed up in two words: HOT and HUMID. We get brief thunderstorms around 3pm every afternoon and it's very uncomfortable walking around the parks during the late morning to early afternoon times. The Studios isn't too bad since the vast majority of rides are indoors. The water rides at IOA will have LONG waits. Have a great time!

We just got back this past Tuesday and yes it was hot but manageable. There's lots of ways to go indoors and also lots of ways to keep cool when you're outside. Some rides are quite a hike apart and that's the hardest part.

I tell everyone to do the two visit approach. Arrive early in the morning, go back to your room at noon to rest, then return around 4pm.

You can see a lot in 3 hours. Most people have this idea they have to spend the entire day in the park, but that's not true. The herd of people show up at 11am, they sleep in, arrive late, and pack the park until 4pm. It's best to leave the park at this time. When you come back, you'll see a huge crowd of people leaving as they're tired and worn out.

It's best to arrive the parking garage at 07:45am at be first at the gate. During busy times, the park may open at 08:30am, but they don't officially tell anyone, it just happens.

Don't forget to put on sunscreen. By noon it will be hot, you'll be dripping with sweat, and you'll know it's time to leave.

This does work VERY well unless you're staying offsite and your hotel is the pits like ours was. We escaped to Citywalk a few times and that was a nice break. I also rejuvenated at the Studios Starbucks and THAT helped me more than anything.

Sunscreen, slap on the sunscreen......insane amounts of sunscreen.

That is the key right there. When I was there last Saturday it was 90 degrees outside and the sun was beating down all day. We just kept reapplying sunscreen every hour or so and we didn't get sunburned at all.

i can cope....any day from work is a good day........

sunscreen, breaks, and ........pool time:goodvibes

I'd also suggest staying hydrated with water, even if you're not thirsty. Save the beer and margaritas for after the sun goes down...

I was talking to a family from the UK at Busch gardens yesterday. they were as red as tomatoes. sunscreen, a hat, and a good pair of sunglasses always help.

Hot very hot. Do not over do it. Do take breaks. Most importantly do use lots of sun lotion and drink lots of water.

Ok, if you're staying off site and don't want to leave, then I'd suggest this.

Arrive early, slap on tons of sun screen, bring a change of cloths in a small bag. There are lockers at the front of the park you can rent all day. Yes, it takes a few minutes to put your money in and put your bag in the locker, but then you'll be on your way. Take a lap around IOA going clockwise in order. You start with Hulk, Dr. Doom, Spiderman, and the water rides. You'll get soaked. Just make sure to hold your feet up on Popeye or put your shoes in the middle after you fasten your seat belt. Bring an extra pair of shoes just in case. I usually wear old shoes for the water rides. Continue to JPRA, Dueling Dragons and Posidens Fury. By now it will be about 11am and the concrete will be heating up. By noon it will be burning hot and you won't be happy.

Go back to your locker and change cloths in the bathroom. Then go eat a 2 hour lunch at Mythos. Or you can leave the park, go to Citywalk, and make reservations for dinner later that night (Margaritaville). Eat lunch at a Citywalk restaurant, or go back to IOA for Mythos. Next up would be the Sinbad show, it's in a covered stadium. By now it will be 4pm and happy hour will start. Drink up, relax, go on the rides you missed, even if that means waiting in line.

Depending on where you went for lunch, you're either at USF riding the Mummy, or back at IOA slamming beers at the bar for happy hour. Now what? Either stay for the fireworks show at 10pm, or head to Margaritaville at 8pm where you made a reservation earlier in the day.

There's lots of variations to what I just said, but this will give you an idea of what to do if you stay all day. Basically, you try to go indoors from 1-4pm
