Hey all. DH and I are planning a trip to DW (combo 10th anniversary and his bday) in Dec 2010. We've been twice together and look forward to going by ourselves one last time before our girls come along.

Will we be planned out by the time the trip actually happens? Will it be built up too much in our minds and be a disappointment no matter what?

:welcome: to the DIS.....where you'll get lots of great information and suggestions to help in your planning ::yes::. And NO....it's never too early to begin planning, IMO :cool1: :cool1:. For me planning is half the fun and I never get tired of anything Disney. My DH and 2 DS's just shake their heads because Disney is all I talk about :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:. I must say, though, that the DIS is VERY ADDICTING.....so be prepared :yay:. Have a great time here and happy planning   .

nah, the planning is half the fun.
I start "half" planning now (were going back fall, 09), thinking and researching which resturaunts I may like, which days, etc.
About 9 months out I get the Ultimate guide and start kicking it up so I'm ready for my ADR's 120 days out.
Once my ADR's are made, then I'm on here every day...

i am always planning a disney trip, infact i have 2 months till my next trip, but im already starting to plan my trip for january and next august. its never ending!!

i would start basic planning. get some books read some restaurant reviews, talk to people on here about hotel experiences etc. gather all your knowledge, and if youre anything like me it will be in a 3 ring binder, then youll be ready to book as soon as youre able.

I'm at a point in life where I'd prefer to go down twice a year! So, when we starting talking about it - it doesn't matter when we go - we start planning! Especially my wife - she starts looking at the restaurants to make reservations long before we even make final plans!:surfweb: We find that it helps take the stress out of our work days!

My honey and I are planning on going in Dec. 09 and I'm already checking out places to eat! :goodvibes Never too early!!
