Too early for Pumpkin Spice?

Summer is still at peak here, as well, and yet in some areas kids are back in school. If anyone in the country is sitting in a classroom I feel that I should have a pumpkin spice latte.

There is year round school in some areas . . .

WOW Oregon kids don't have school till Labor Day and Yuma kids are just starting...that I understand so that they can have May off to enjoy some resemblance of spring but these poor kids have no pumpkin patches so pumpkin spice might as well be egg nog .. which is not a thing here because it's always past date discounted in the store

LOL. Well, here in California Egg Nog always seems to be sold out, so we must be making up for what is not sold where you are. Actually, how soon stores discontinue Egg Nog has been controversial here. Hard to find any after December 25th, traditional Christmas Day. The Orthodox churches have complained to grocery stores that they never can get any Egg Nog for Orthodox Christmas/The Epiphany Christmas parties on January 6th.

Several dairies bring it back from Easter as "Easter Egg Nog". And in the past DIS members have said in their area, some dairies sell egg nog year round.

Too early for pumpkin spice anything! It's only August. And since I'm complaining, why does my local supermarket have a full aisle of Halloween candy on display!?

Same here. My local Acme had it 2 weeks ago. We were also just at ShopRite for the first time in a month and they have it too. Haven't been to Target or Wegmans in the last 2 weeks but I'm sure they are the same.

That’s not even a real Starbucks… that’s just a Nestle licensed Starbucks operated independently by someone else.

Oh darn ... I have been bragging to everyone one where the loneliest Starbucks was.... still no line and fantastic bathrooms... and the most historical location to buy Starbucks... Yuma prison.. ocean to ocean bridge.. historical mission Church and Santa Fe train station..and is on FIRST nation land.....and you can stand in the middle of the street and be in California and Arizona.... AND NO LINE

I love pumpkin spice, but yes, it's too early. I adhere to the seasons, within reason. Like I'm not going to wait until the end of September to start celebrating Fall, but I'm also not starting it in August.

I don't think I've even seen any pumpkin spice stuff in the stores yet.

People can drink whatever they want. I honestly don’t care. I do get annoyed with Halloween in every store, but what really grinds my gears are the gigantic skeletons on people’s front yards year round. I know it’s meant to be funny, but I am not a fan.

Enjoy your Pumpkin Spice everything, Pumpkin Egg Nog, Hot Cocoa, Peppermint Mocha, Sugar Cookie Latte, Pina Colada, or Margarita…whatever floats your boat.

In the meantime, I will continue to swim in my heated pool and sip my frozen cocktailsin October squeezing every last bit of summer well into fall…because I am a summer girl.
