My DW and I have a new house and we could not decide where to put the Christmas Tree. So, we put it up today! Is it too early?

Although I voted "yes" it's too early, I'm a firm believer in doing what makes YOU happy. I love Christmas, our tree is always up the day after Thanksgiving and people tell us we're awful early. However, we are already listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas movies and cartoons.

Oh yeah, and my DH started hanging lights outside today, although we won't light up until the day after Thanksgiving, or someone else nearby does, whichever comes first.;)

My SIL keeps her tree up all year round! It's so pretty. Each Holiday, she makes/buys flowers, colored lights, ornaments, etc. to decorate it. So it's not Christmas all year round. Like right now for thanksgiving, she has orange lights in it and she put fall leaves on the tree. It's so pretty!

Way to early to be thinking trees! But I cant beleive christmas is like 46 days away.

I don't think that it is too early. I love seeing all of the decorations and it is so much work to not enjoy it for as long as possible. I do have to say though that once Christmas is over, I am completely done with the tree and all of the decorations.

Well I'm just going to say my DH is not going to like you because I'm going to go put on my baby face and see if we can put the tree up!

We are leaving for Disney on December the 13th....and since I have cats the tree is coming down before we leave so it would make a lot of sense to have it up now wouldn't it....LOL!

I tend to put our tree up late (a week before Christmas). This drives my son crazy, he wants it up in November.

This year I'm going to try to get it up during the Thanksgiving break.

For me, it's too early. I don't decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving (usually the Friday right after). I did do some Christmas shopping already, but no decorations until after Thanksgiving.... I just put up my Thanksgiving decorations!

We start decorating the day after Thanksgiving but we don't put up our tree unitl about 2 weeks before Christmas. We get a fresh cut tree and with our heating system, it dries out too quickly if we put it up any earlier.

We take it down New Year's day.
