Too cold in December for my DD to wear her princess dress at MVMCP?

Hi! My family and I are attending our first MVMCP on Sunday,Dec 7. We already ordered our tickets and can't wait. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen little girls wearing their princess dresses at this event? She might have a BBB appointment this day and we have a beautiful Christmas Belle Dress for her to wear. I don't want her to be cold and miserable all night. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! :goodvibes

Is this a trick question?

;)

(Love the pic of "Winnie" the cat.)

Yup! My daughter wears them to all the parties and we see lots of other girls in them as well.

If it's chilly just layer turtle necks, tights, and pants under the costume. That time of year it could be hot or cold, who knows. We did two MVMCP's during our 2006 vacation and we sweated through the first one and needed jackets for the second.

I think that the princess dresses are appropriate any time at WDW! Just bring clothing to layer under the outfit and bring comfortable shoes- we have seen some princess's with very sore feet hobbling around in those fancy shoes that match the outfit.....
We will be going to the party on the 9th and looking forward to it!

Yes, we are doing the Christmas Belle dress for dd at MVMCP also! At my dress up trunk, they have a matching cape with hood that is very cute! I am tempted to get that in case it is chilly.

Thanks. :goodvibes I was thinking of going to 2 parties also. I keep thinking that we'll need the 2 nights to see everything we want to see. I think we'll be going to BBB and then have dinner at the castle before the party. I can't wait!

Thanks for the layering advice. I can only hope that we'll have a mild night. We'll be there the same week. Have fun planning! :)

Thanks for the cape idea. I'll have to check that out. We also want to try to meet Belle in her red dress that night so wearing that dress will be perfect. Have a magical time! :wizard:

Heavens yes. I've seen little girls wearing princess dresses all over the place, including all the parks, all the busses, all the monorails, all the boats, in all the shops, at all the resorts, in all of the restaurants, at Downtown Disney. You name it, there they are. Cute they are, but rare anywhere ... they are not.

That's why I asked about this being a "trick question."

Almost like asking if anyone has ever seen guests wearing Mickey ears.

I know Robo, but what I meant to ask was if you think my DD will be okay to wear her dress on a Dec. night in Florida. I've never been in Dec. before, so I didn't know if it was too cool for princess dresses at night. I know girls wear dresses all over the parks. My DD has done it on our past 2 trips in early Oct. So I guess I should have worded my question better.

Thanks to the ones who answered my question. :goodvibes

It all depends. I've been to MVMCP when I wore a t-shirt and light jacket. I've also been when I wore a heavy winter coat and sweatshirt and just about froze. Weather in December is all over the place. One night, the low can be 60 degrees. The next night, it could be around freezing.

Yes, I just wanted to keep you on your toes. Sometimes I have something to say in my head, but it just doesn't come out right. It's just not easy being me. :)

Winnie is a very loud purrer. She purrs all the time! I've never had such a social kitty before. She always has to be in the same room as us. It's really cute!

Yes, let them where the dresses.
