Would you do RAC this close to the time limits?

I got there about 15 minutes early thinking that early it wouldn't be busy but honestly it was, I've carried on my luggage for earlier flights since RAC wasn't open and don't have a problem doing that., but yeah even at an ungodly hour, next time I'll do a FULL 30 minutes at a minmum.

My luggage was checked in right at the three hour mark or slightly before with no problem and no delay at my final destination, but I do admit I was a little worried.

The folks in front of me were on a flight around the same time and we both were saying if we weren't checked in by 5:15 we were leaving the line. They did not start checking in early, but they were pretty quick, except for the group that was trying to change DME pick up times. They made up probably half of the line in front of me.

Hmm Never did update this.

I had an 5:30 am DME. I went out to the RAC just before 5am which is all the way in the back and not in sight of the buses, and low and behold there was a HUGE line. I was probably 25 back as far as boarding parties went. The people in front of me were also a little surprised it was this busy this early. I figured I'd stay in line until I was closer then head out. I did get checked in at a decent time, but there was a group ahead of me that was losing their collective mind. I guess they had different boarding times and the lady was insistent that they all had to board the same bus. But it looked like it was going to be full. They ended up pulling my clerk over just as I stepped up to deal with here. I'm pretty sure my face reflected my feeling on that. She did eventually ask someone to help me as she was going to be tired up for a while. I got there in plenty of time for my bus, and my luggage arrived at my final destination with no problem. I never did see the family again.
But RAC has nothing to do with MDE and who gets on what bus. :confused3

You're right I never put that together, she just kept going on about how they all had to be on the same bus? Maybe they switched their pick up time for the bus and they wouldn't take her luggage. Or maybe there was a mix up with their airline tickets. Don't know but they were agitated to say the least.
