I've heard that you can get some really cute things done at the Main Street Barber Shop for girls, too. Any one have any pictures to prove it to my daughters?
I don't like to post pictures of my DD, but I have done both the Mainstreet Barber Shop for her and a do-it-yourself BBB hairstyle for a P&PP. My DD got way more comments on her Barbershop do since it was so brightly colored -- she chose pink and purple for her colors. We got her hair cut in addition to the colors and pixie dust and with tip it cost $20. She loved it and I loved the price![]()
For my own BBB style I used my own hairspray and some loose body glitter. I pulled her hair in a high pony-tail, pulled it partly though and seperated it out to resemble a top bun. Then I sprayed it a bunch (my DD has very fine hair) and put some of the loose glitter on. The glitter and the hair stayed all night long. I didn't buy a tiara for her, but if I had to do it again I would. It wasn't a total replica of the BBB styles, but since my DD is only 3 it didn't really matter to either one of us. Oh -- and my DH was pleased with the way it turned out since she looked cute, but not over the top.
2) I still can't see parents paying up to $249+tip, when MSBS is $20-$24, incl tip.
What exactly do they do for little boys at the barber shop? Does anyone have a picture to share??
But the budgeteer in me is thinking, "How can I make my own hair paint like that????"![]()
We're at Disney for 10 days. DD wears a uniform to school, so she just has the summertime to be wild and crazy with her hair. If I could figure out where to buy or how to make that paint, I could do her hair every stinking day! LOL!
ETA: Okay, I found this so far. It only has one review, but it seems maybe the poster had a bad batch or something...?? Looks like it would work, and it's only $7! Now to find it B&M.
But what about the glitter??? Is it regular glitter "glued" on with hairspray? Anyone know???
This is what DH and DS had done. DH had mickey glitter on the top of his head too. LOL
