:sunny: Okay, here it is. We are going to WDW for 16 days, arriving 12/31 & departing 1/16. I am a planner, but do know how to relax too:tongue: My DH thinks that our schedule will be too busy if we include a day at Sea World and I would like your opinion.

We are staying right across from Sea World our first 3 nites. Then we'll be off to OKW for 13 days. We have 5 day passes and 1 plus option. We are planning 1 day at Disney Quest. 2 days will be flying days & 2 days for church services. So, that brings us to 11 planned days. Although we purchased 5 day passes 2 yrs ago we only used 3 of them (we were off property for 2 weeks at Orange Lake Country Club Resort) .. and we were all fine w/that and enjoyed the pools, golfing, visiting friends and hanging out. Okay, forgot to mention that we do have friends in the area that we will be visiting too. From the boards and the Sea World site, I think my kids, dd12 (with friend who is 12 also), dd10 and dd7 would love it. ::yes:: I ultimately will make the decision, but want to see what my fellow disers think?

Thank you so very much!!:sunny:

Stacey, stop, take a breath and slow down. :teeth:

I think what I got from that, is that you've got 11 days to work with and are wondering if you should include a Sea World stop within those 11 days, but your DH thinks it will be too much. Right?
How many days are you planning for WDW? Are you taking a whole day to visit with your friends? What else are you doing during your first 3 nites, besides New Year's celebrating?
Even though it seems like you have a lot of vacation time, if you're planning to fill each and every minute with something to do, then your DH might be right. You have to take a little time and slow down and enjoy yourself. ::yes::

We eally enjoy Sea World. It is a nice break away from the hussle and bussle of WDW. I find Sea world more relaxing.

Again, it is the family's interest that matters.

My DD loves Dolphins. She wants to swim with them when she turns 6. We really miss Sea World of Ohio.

Forgive me I am confused here...I don't know anything about religious services. But I see you have two entire days allotted for this. Don't most services only last a few hours?

Perhaps, if you are strapped for time, you could go to the service in the morning, and head to a park in the afternoon?

:sunny: We will have 13 days at Old Key West & 3 at the Renaissance. 11 days are already planned, which includes our 2 days that we will be flying, the 2 days that we will be going to church services, and then 5 for the parks (1 for the plus option if we use it) and 1 for Disney Quest. Now the days that we fly and go to church .. the whole day is not shot and we may include other activities w/that as shopping & visiting friends.

We may not use all of our 5 days for the parks and then again we may .. but we are not set either way. I just thought since we are going to be across the street from Sea World, December 31 thru Jan 3rd, it might be a nice option and we can trolley & shop the remaining time we are there at the Renaissance.

As far as friends are concerned they will get together w/us anytime. They have an open schuedule & Sundays will work well for that since we will be attending the same place for services.

I do enjoy down time too ::yes::

Thank you very much for your opinions .. much appreciated!!

:sunny: Usually church services are for 1-2 hrs in the am and 1 hr in the pm. We have many people we know there and attending services in such a nice way to see everyone .. even those whom we have not stayed in contact with over the years. :sunny: Thank you all for your help!:sunny:

I think it sounds like you have time. You seem like you don't have a lot planned on those planned days, just that you want to go to the parks on certain days. If you go to Disney Quest, I don't think that will take up a whole day. I know you gave yourself two whole days for church, and you know you won't be in church for 48 hours. So, you will have the rest of those days as down days. I know how it can be to go back to a church where you know so many people, and it can take up a lot of time. However, you aren't running all over the place doing different activities on those days. I actually like how you've done your planning. If you are going to be at OKW for 13 days and only five of them are going to be park days, I think in no way are you planning for too much. If I was going to be right across the streeet, I'd go. Just my two cents.

I'm not sure if you are too busy - only you can decide.

FYI - Disney Quest is NOT one of the options from the hopper plus tickets if you are thinking that. I found out the hard way and then had to pay my way in because the kids were so looking forward to it.

Have a great time whatever you decide to do
