Yes, Ocean City is wonderful.

Very clean, and family oriented. It's a "dry town." No liquor bought within the city limits or guzzling on the beaches. LOTS of liquor stores & restaurants which serve liquor at the edge of town.

But, that's what keeps the atmosphere from getting all seedy like Wildwood.

Ocean City, NJ used to be "closed" on Sundays too....until well into the 1980s. The rides, shops, and arcades on the boardwalk had to shut down at 11:59pm on Saturdays. Most sit-down restaurants and some grocery stores were open, but they were limited as to what they could sell on Sundays. For example, I think you could be served a whole pizza at a table, but you couldn't just get a slice at the counter. Grocery stores could sell staples, but no prepared foods. (Some small places openly violated the blue laws. The fine for getting caught was less than the profits they made on Sundays.)
I love Ocean City. I'm thinking of moving there from Long Beach Island.
