Too ambitious of a plan?

I am going to hs in late august when dhs shouldn't be busy. If you arrive late to fantastic, you end up standing, right? I was wondering if it is possible to leave the show 5 minutes early ( since we are standing it shouldn't be a hassle leaving) and head out the park before the crowds. I want to grab dinner at Wolfgang express (do they have carry out/ to go meals on Dp?) I am bringing a car so transportation is not a problem. There will only be 2 adults no kids. Fantasmic starts at 9 wolfgang puck express closes at 10:30. Thanks!

I doubt you'll have to stand for Fantasmic if you're going in late August. I do think it's too much to try to get to Wolfgang Puck Express in downtown. They have take out, did that my trip in October, which did occur near closing time. Since it was so close to closing, our choices were limited and we had to wait a good 15-20 minutes for the food. I'd definitely do the takeout again, but not near closing time.

You would be cutting it quite close. And I agree with the other poster, your choices will probably be quite limited if you arrive at Wolfgang close to closing. I'd grab some dinner before Fantasmic. Or eat during. Food is allowed inside the arena.
