How is it? I have never been there and was wondering if it is worth it on the DDP? How is the food, atmosphere, and value for the DDP? Thanks! :wave2:

My kids liked the food and atmosphere, especially the Lady & Tramp fountain. However, my dh and I agreed that the food wasn't that great. It was okay. I'm glad I tried it once but, not sure I'd go back.

I can let you know in about 45 days :) My sister and I have ADR's there in Sept. But I am sure there are others here that can tell you much sooner :thumbsup2

DS & I are having our first "back to the world" lunch here this Sat

We were just there Friday for lunch. I thought the calamari and tiramisu were excellent. DH had spaghetti and found it "average at best" ...

The atmosphere is very cute though, especially if you're a fan of "Lady and the Tramp".

I was there about 4 years ago and we had a great time. My DD then 6 loved it. Great service and atmosphere. I don't remember the food being unsatisfactory. If so, I would definetly remember. So I'd have to say average as I don't remember it being as good as Alfredo's in Epcot. I'd dine there again! I just haven't had a chance to go back. I'm on a mission to eat everywhere!

Does anyone know if they have chicken strips? It is not on the menu, but this is my daughter's favorite, but her friend who is going with us, is one of those kids who will only eat at McDonalds

I don't think they have chicken strips. They do have pasta and pizza.

We have a soft spot for Tony's. The food is ok and the location is ok but for some reason we always enjoy our time at Tony's. We have been prekids and loved it and with kids and loved it. We are looking forward to going back on our next trip.

What % of Tonys tables are patio tables? Is it an enclosed patio or open? Is it possible to see parts of the parade from other areas inside Tony's?
We werent interested in the old parade but we have a 215AR there this Sat and the new parade starts Thurs

It is an open patio, and I'd say about 10 tables are out there give or take. We sat in the "greenhouse" area last time, and you couldn't have seen the parade from there unless you stood up and looked out, or went onto the patio which would have made it a little crowded.

Thanks for the comments! Tony's sounds like a must do for us! I think we will be giving it a try. :thumbsup2

Sorry, but most of the reviews for the last few years have been bad to fair. Service and menu haven't been great, and value has been real low. Actually had a cm just a week ago at another restaurant who had worked at Tony's and said that it was not what it had been five years ago, and many of the real good cms were leaving and transrering to other locations. Do some more research before you decide to make ps reservations.

We went for the first time on our trip last year. The food was really ok, but atmosphere was really neat, and we had a blast with our CM. Glad to hear you're giving it a try!! :thumbsup2

We are trying it for our first time in about two weeks  . I was initially put off by some of the negative reviews, but we decided to keep it. I have found that if you spend enough time on the DIS you will find every possible view point and opinion, so do not be swayed. IMO give everything a try and decide for yourself. :thumbsup2

We were at Tony's about a month ago, and really enjoyed it. We all had spaghetti and meatballs, which was good, nothing real special, but my DD is into Lady and the Tramp and this was her choice. The CM who seated us was really good asking us who our favorite characters are, asking Trivia questions etc. One of the best CM's we encountered this time. Go and have fun!

While I wouldn't call it bad, it is nothing to speak of. Very traditional (plain) marinara sauce. We made spaghetti and meatballs in the woods once and spilled water into our sauce...it was still better than Tony's. Even if they paid me $20 to eat it I'd still wouldn't go.

Speaking of Tony's...any chance they will ever bring back breakfast? It used to be our favorite place. They had wonderful cinnamon rolls and the Lady and the Tramp waffles were a must!!!

My DD would die over Lady and the Tramp waffles. She doesn't like princesses, but will chase Pluto around to get an autograph 10 times a day! How long ago was this breakfast. I know they have one for Grand Gatherings, but just the regular breakfast?

We made ressies for January and at first I thought that I would avoid it because of the negative reviews. But then I remembered that CP usually has glowing reviews, and yet we were not fond of it. So, ITA, try for yourself, and make your own determination.

We went last summer for dinner and had a great time. It was late (I think we closed the place down) so it wasn't very crowded. In fact we were able to take pictures by the fountain and no one else was in them. We enjoyed the food but enjoyed the atmosphere more. The desserts were great.
