We are on the DDP and have ADR's at Tony's Town Square. My son who is 11 has the adult plan. Will they let him eat off the childs menu at that restaurant (using his adult TS credit?) I really want to go here, but I am afraid he won't eat anything. He might eat the spaghetti and meatballs. It's possible my DD(7) would eat his sp. and mb and he eat her pizza, but what if they both want pizza?

Thanks! Kat

We cancelled our Tony's ADR's in lieu of the bad reviews on this and other sites, in favor of Mama Melrose's in Hollywood Studios.

I think Tony's is a great place to go. I've never used the DDP so I'm not exactly sure, but I'm assuming that would be okay.
Hopefully someone else can give a definitive answer.

I would not ever recommend cancelling any ADR based up on reviews here on the dis! All restaurants get their fair share of abuse around here. I am sure they will let you order something off the kids menu. When we dined there last, we had my 10 year old daughter with us, she was an "adult" so I was worried about what she might like there. However she went ahead and ordered the sp. and meatballs and liked it very much. The server did say she could order a kids meal if we wanted but told us the spaghetti was pretty basic and not spicy so thats what we did. At several other places however, we ordered her a kids meal with an adult ts credit no problem. They would generally give her a double portion which was nice. All the places we ate at for our 9 night trip also let us sub sides that were more kid friendly and often gave her a take away dessert (like a rice Krispy treat or cookie) since she was almost always too full to eat dessert. They were always happy to make an adult meal more the liking of our ten year old!

Disney is used to this and is happy to comply with your needs. In essence, its a good deal for them, to serve you a cheaper meal than what you paid for. Since they consider 10 and older an adult its their fault if they have to switch gears so often!

And for the record, we thought Tony's was very good. Loved the Lady and Tramp theming, the food and service were great and since its one of only two options in the MK that doens't have characters its a nice change. Its also pricey, so its a good deal on the DDP.

Our trip last Sept was the first with as son as a disney adult. We had no issues with him ordering off the kids menus at any of the restaurants.
And as mentioned by another poster, go ahead and try Tonys! There are so many mixed reviews you just really never know until you try it yourself:goodvibes We're actually trying Tonys and Mama's on our next trip, even thought i've heard LOTS of mixed reviews on both.

Thank you all very much for the help. My husband is a very picky eater and he picked this off the list, and we will be at MK that day. Thanks for letting me know the sauce isn't too spicy either. All the info was great and I won't hesitate now in asking for the kids meal entrees at any of the rest. we go to!!
