Tony's Town Square, overpriced for avg food.

Just ate at Tony's on the day after Thanksgiving. This was my third time there...and although the prices are Disney...I think the food was great. The breadsticks and tomato sauce was great. We asked for more and our waiter brought more right out. And speaking of our waiter...he was wonderful, very polite and right on the ball. My DH and I had the NY Strip, which melted in your mouth. DD and her DFriend had the children's ravoli, although not much there, but they filled up on breadsticks. And they were both over 9 and we had no problem getting them the children's menu. I love the rich decor in there and the Lady and the Tramp theme. I have never had a bad dinner or service there. Last year there were 10 of us and we still had great service. I know that everyplace is just a matter of opinion, and prices are a little high...but it's disney and all the prices are a little high. I've seen more expensive meals elsewhere and not as much food. If you never been and want to try it...go for it...form your own opinion. :lovestruc

About two years ago(I think), we ate at Tony's and it was one of the best meals we had on-property that trip. Every time we're eaten there since, though, the experience has gone downhill. I think they probably must have changed chefs/managers. *sigh* Our favorite dish the last time we went was the complimentary sun-dried tomato dipping sauce (the bread was another matter entirely, not a good Italian-style at all, closer to mushy Wonder Bread...)
It's such a shame, the inconsistent service/food quality is what killed going there for us. We'll probably try it again, but not for a while.

agnes!
