Tony's Town Square 10/31 & MNSSHP ??

Hi Folks -

DD and I are doing MNSSHP on 10/31/08 (our first time) and have been trying to find an available Table Service ADR for dinner before the party.

I double checked with Disney Dining and was able to snag an opening for 5:10on Halloween.

We really wanted LTT or CP but I feel rather lucky to have gotten this.

I'm interested in comments regarding the dining experience here; is the food good? Worthy of using a table service credit? The alternative was to try Pecos Bills or Columbia Harbour House for CS meal.

Thoughts, suggestions, please let me have 'em.

My wife and I like TTC for dinner. We have dined there many times; the service was usually good. The food is good but not great. It is worth the price for location and atmosphere. Don't expect upscale nor Olive garden.

We think the food is better than LTT for dinner. I like the CP about the same as Tony's.

If you read the reviews, you will see a large range of opinions on TTC. Some love it, some hate it... I would prefer it to CS.

While I am a big fan of TTS (I love the atmosphere and the spaghetti and meatballs are great!) I think that on the night of the halloween party you'd be better off doing CS, purely because you pay extra admission to those parties and they are not long. I personally wouldn't want to spend an hour+ sitting down and eating when there is so much to do and so little time at MNSSHP! I'd do CHH instead.

We did TTS last year the night we attended MNSSHP and while the food was fine, it was really busy and we had to wait almost a 1/2 hour past our ADR to be seated. I would definitely eat there again but as the previous poster stated not on a MNSSHP night- it just took too much time in our opinion. Have a good trip whatever you decide!

Out of all the restaurants (at least 25) we've eaten while at WDW, Tony's was our least favorite. The food and service were substandard. We enjoyed Plaza (another TS at MK) or for CS, Pinnochio Village Haus and Cosmic Ray's. I would recommend those three over Tony's.

For us-- we are not buying a pass for the day we do the Halloween Party but stay at thehotel for sleep in- lounging by the pool. Gonna make a dinner researvation for about 3pm (hoping Ohana's or something)
then head to the party after the meal.
I agree that the party is only a few hours long-- and would not waste a minute sitting and eating.

We are going to Skip Tony's the night of MNSSHP. Ideally, I'd like to skip all parks that day and rest up for the night. However, we're only staying for four nights this trip and trying to squeeze lots in, so I've planned to go to DHS that morning and have made ADR's for Lunch at 11:40 at 50's Prime Time cafe that day instead. Based on past experience, I think that should hold us for a while until we can grab a counter service meal later in the evening.
