We are planning a short spring trip. Since we don't have a lot of time at MK I wanted to book something in the park. No one wanted a character meal so I was checking out Tony's. The reviews are not so great and was looking for any recent experiences. I wish Plaza was still taking ADR's! ugh!

Might give Skipper Canteen another try but we didn't really love it.

Thanks.

I tried Tony's for the first time at the end of September. There were 7 people in my party. All 7 of us enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent, food was very good. I would recommend trying it.

Tony's is easily the most needlessly complained about placed here. If you looking for a TS meal in the Magic Kingdom, and feel like standard Americanized Italian faire (ala Olive Garden, or your local Pizza/Italian joint), then by all means, eat at Tony's. As long as you don't expect mind altering super authentic high end Italian food, you will be fine, I promise.

We have always enjoyed dinner at Tony's and will be there in a few weeks.

We really liked our meals there. Good service, good food!
Sometimes it just seems that the UNhappy people just seem to Post more, Kwim?
I'd return there, enjoy!

We are eating there in January. Like others have said, it isn't a wow meal, but the food is fine, the restaurant is beautiful and it is usually on the quiet side. Pricey for what you get, but, hey, it's Disney!!!

Olive Garden type food but a bit better. We've had great service and a nice meal, as long as we ignore the bill. LOL

Everyone will have varying opinions about Tonys, but as always, you should try it. I've seen some people rave about it!

We've never eaten there and my girls have begged me to make a reservation, just one time. I haven't done it because of the horror stories I've read here have scared me! o_O

Our family likes Tony's. I was initially scared off by the horror stories on here, but decided to try it anyway. It wasn't mind blowing, but it was a good meal.

I was the same way but finally tried it last trip in September. I would gladly eat there again as I had the pizza (normal size flatbread Pizza) and my wife had the Canneloni and we split it. Nothing great to write home about but it was a nice sit down meal in a place (MK) that we had mainly eaten QS over the last thirty years. Service was very good. Loved how they open the place with the Dapper Dan's. We also tried the Plaza this trip and probably preferred it though if I were to only need one TS.

DH & I went there last month. We hadn't been for many years because of the reviews and we were very glad we went. We had a great meal and a great server. We both ordered the spaghetti & meatballs. We even enjoyed the bread. On our way out, we actually mentioned to our server and hostess that we will definitely be back.

It didn't hurt we were seated (didn't ask) right by the window and saw a parade. It was a wonderful lunch experience.

I ate there for the first time back in 2008 and thought it was absolutely horrendous; I vowed never again. This past June we were in Disney with a total of 8 of us and a couple in the group wanted to try Tony's. I was reluctant to go. I will admit, it was better than in 2008, but that is where the praise ends. While it was better than in 08, the food was very Olive Garden in quality. I wouldn't call it terrible or inedible, but it was like it was previously frozen or pre-made and then heated up in the ovens upon order. The only thing I would say that was excellent was our server who was very good. She was the one thing that stood out in a sea of mediocrity.

We've always enjoyed Tony's. The atmosphere is nice, and the service has always been good. The food is decent, but not spectacular. If you're expecting an authentic italian dining experience, you're going to be disappointed. If you want an enjoyable albeit very americanized italian meal, I think you'll be very happy. The price point is quite a bit higher than what you'd pay for comparable food outside of the World, but hey, it's Disney, we're all used to that.
