I want to try something new this year and have never eaten at either. I've heard good things about Tony's but every time I pass the Plaza it looks so charming! Which restaurant do you prefer if you had to choose one (or should we eat at both?) and how difficult is it to get a reservation? Thanks!!

We really like the Plaza. Our dinner at Tony's a few years ago was mediocre, but the Plaza is among our favorites.

haven't tried Tony's yet, but we did The Plaza in January. Good sandwiches, and of course dessert is banana splits or brownie sundaes (yum!) Hubby had the reuben & fries, I had the cheesesteak & homemade chips. Enjoyed the food. We thought this was a nice lighter meal from the usual DDP table service (although we did get way too full anyway!)

Don't think reservations are hard to get at The Plaza, since they mainly serve soup & sandwiches I think a lot of people think they're just another counter service place.

We love the Plaza it is like a hidden gem. If you love a good sandwich it is a great place. And the shakes are tasty

probably the worst value for the dining plan, but it's a great little sandwich and ice cream shop. It's a great respite from the hot summer sun.

Sounds yummy! I have a while to think about it before our ninety day mark. Just keeping my options open... Thanks for the responses!

I can't say how the Plaza is since we don't go for 4 more weeks....but we made ADR there for lunch based on many many MANY good things I read on here about it- many called it a hidden gem. It doesn't look fancy but we don't want fancy, we want cute and Disney-like and good food. Seems it fits the bill~

They both are good. But Tony's I think it's better for dinner as the Plaza has sandwhiches I would go there for lunch not dinner.

We did both last April. Tony's was ok, but the food at the plaza was much better. I really loved the burger there!:cool1:

We would go to Tony's. It was one of the best meals we had on our last trip. We all enjoyed our dinner and we had a fantastic waiter as well. Sandwhiches for dinner just doesn't do it for us.

I am a sandwich kid so I would say the Plaza but DH doesnt really care for sandwiches so much, he would say Tonys

We have been to both and enjoy both so you cannot go wrong with whatever you decide :thumbsup2

I vote for The Plaza. DH and I shared a tasty sandwich there, which was plenty for the both of us..plus then we had room for ice cream! Our waitress was very good as well. Our kids enjoyed their chicken kabobs and ice cream!

Tony's is our least favorite restaurant in all of WDW. Yuck...sorry!

I've always felt like MK is lacking in Table Service Options... between plaza and tony's, I would go with Tony's... it's GOOD, but not great. Plaza has some nice sandwiches, but so does Columbia Harbor House, for lower prices. The other TS, Liberty Tree... never been...

So, I'd go Tony's, just my .02! :)

We ate at the Plaza and all I can say is YUCK! What a waste of a table service. Guess it is different strokes for different folks. I would clasify it as more a a counter service then a Table service even though I know disney says it is a TS.

Tony's was good and much better than the Plaza. Like a previous poster said you can get sandwhiches for much cheaper at Columbia Harbor House. We were not impressed with the Plaza.

We have been to both and we like Tony's a little better than the Plaza. But just by a little. They are both good and IMO you can't go wrong at either! :thumbsup2
