Tony's in MK or Mama Melrose's in HS?

I much prefered the food and decor at Mama melrose- good portion sizes too:goodvibes

Went to Mama's a few weeks ago, right after they changed the menu. Tried the new pork chop on mac & cheese!!! The mac & cheese was amazing, it is a 5 cheese sauce and it has pancetta in it!

They also changed some desserts, the tiramisu flavored panna cotta and no sugar added pound cake are great additions to the menu!

Mama Melrose. We eat there every year. We haven't had one complaint there, we love it!

We actually like both restaurants, but I have to say that I like Mama Melrose a little bit more. I really liked our food (I had the 4 cheese flatbread) when we went last March and I had a taste of my DH's chicken parm which was excellent (going to have this in May). Tony's has great atmosphere and good food, however what really puts it over the top is if you can get a table outside while the afternoon parade is going on :thumbsup2

Mama Melrose. We love the listening to the "Hollywood" songs playing in the background. Great atmosphere and wonderful food

Tony's is DISGUSTING! i would never go there again. I had the chicken parm, gross. My son had the spag n' balls. Again, gross! I took a bit of his meatball and had to spit it into a napkin. Disgusting. I think their tomato sauce ruined all the dishes. I would highly recommend you avoid this restaurant. Even thou i heard about the negative reviews from this place, i still went with low expectations but ended up being hugely disapointed anyway.

They are both the Olive Garden variety Italian places and we like them both but I have to give the edge to Tony's because they have the best calamari I have ever had

We did Tony's on Wednesday & MM on Thursday. I prefered MM, but Tony's was good too. If we hadn't done two Italian meals back to back I would have enjoyed both of them more.

We didnt care for Mama Melrose at all but we are picky Italian food eaters as my husband has grown up with homemade Italian food his whole life. I thought everything at Mama Melorose was incredibly salty and I like salt. My son has never turned his nose up to spaghetti and sauce and he would not touch it after the first bite at MM.

Tony's doesnt sound that good either.

agreeing with everyone else - Mama Melrose has WAAAAYYY better Italian food! Both times I was at Tony's the food was really bad. We enjoyed our food at MM, though.

We had a horrible meal at MM, I mean literally no one in our group of 12 liked their meals. :scared1: We won't be going back.

I agree with this 100% EXCEPT - I had the shrimp scampi (no red sauce involved) and it was equally icky. Even my DH, who will basically eat anything as long as it doesn't have mayo on it;) couldn't finish his spaghetti and meatballs. - Just to give you some perspective - We just went to a spaghetti dinner at our kids school - he ate every bite and it came out of the school cafeteria.
