Tony's....Am I crazy???

After the guys just reviewed Tony's, albeit a meh review....although some praise from Pete....who was it's biggest critic, I'm considering giving it another try.....AM I CRAZY??? Last time we went was 2013 and while my meal (braised lamb shank over polenta) was very good....the rest of the family got ckn parm and spaghetti and nobody finished it...and when I went to try it....it was awful. Going for F&W in Sept...and after Pete said he saw improvement....was considering giving it another chance. Anybody been recently? Thoughts...reviews?TIA!
Honestly, YES. :lmao:

Seriously though, Pete was smart by ordering the steak. He stayed away from the red sauce. Im glad the steak was good. It gives others hope. A friend of mine had the steak there in Nov and he said it was the worst steak he's ever had. So again, there's hope since the new chef started in January. The review was still pretty bad though....and until this place gets stellar reviews, i personally am going to stay away. Like yourself, I had the chicken parm and couldn't eat it. It was horrible and quite traumatizing. Having said that, there's nothing wrong with giving them another chance. You're quite curious it seems, so i think you should go for it. Please report back to let us know how you liked it. :)

We ate there a couple of trips ago and had a good experience. I don't remember the food being out-of-this-world or anything, but it was decent, and our server was really nice! (I do think I ordered something that didn't have red sauce, though. - Hmmmm)

Not crazy. Could care less about people who hate on Tony's. So many have had good experiences. My worst dinners have been at what others pick as the best. I don't care for LTT but others rave about it. Bland in my book. Everyone has their likes and dislikes and every single restaurant at WDW has a good share of negative reviews.

Tony's is one of those restaurants that my family has to eat at because it wouldn't be a trip without going. We love the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant, and the servers are always great...if you can get a table outside, I would highly recommend it, best place to people watch while eating :goodvibes. I wouldn't say the food is the best on Disney property by any means, but everything that we have had is definitely edible. I do understand the criticism that this restaurant gets, but if you are wanting to try it, and be your own critic, then I say you are not crazy at all.

I have eaten at Tony’s a few times and never thought it was bad. My daughter is the pickiest eater ever who usually only likes the Delgrosso “meat flavored” sauce, and she didn’t mind the red sauce at Tony’s at all.

We have a FoF lunch package booked for our trip in September and we are looking forward to it!
