Hi everyone,

Tonight on ITV2 at 5 past 8 is a new series called "Holiday Airport-Orlando". I'm not sure if its going to be about MCO (the main airport) or Sanford, but its probably worth a watch if your going sometime soon.

Did anyone see this? Do tell us what it was like!

There was something like this a while ago at Sanford Airport - I was wondering if this was a follow on from that?

I checked the boards on and off all day yesterday!! Switched off around 7.15 and missed this post!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope it will be repeated

Hi

I watched the program, and to be honest it wasn't all I had hoped it to be. It was based around BOTH airports (Sanford and MCO) but 80% of the program was about people that worked in the airport rather than actually about the airport itself.

Of that 80%, over half was about the TravelCity Direct reps, who seemed very nice and eager to go (far too much energy!!!).

On the plus side, it did however give a small insight into MCO airport, it showed the monorail that connects the terminals to the main bit in the middle, and at Sanford, it showed the car hire hall (looks huge).

All in all, 5/10 :(

Hope that helps,
Lewis

PS whilst holiday airport is a series, Orlando isn't. Next week its Holiday Airport-Lanzarote and then Holiday Airport-Tenerife. :(

I saw this on ITV1 last year, but I watched the repeat on Monday night. I was glad the English rep was fired, he was so obnxious. He obviously thought he was doing people a favour by repping as he was so skilled (NOT!!!) and also thought that tourists should never complain about anything!

And really, the show was called Holiday Airport so why did we have to see him picking up women at Rachels adult dump.

The very silly Scottish couple who had 7 bags between 2 of them - what was up with that? They had to pay about £400 in excess baggage charges but it was their own fault IMO. Airlines make it quite clear about baggage limits.

Not very informative, but then I find very few holiday shows about Florida are. They don't tend to show a true picture at all. If I hadseen this show without being a regular FL visitor I'd think it was a pretty tacky place which has regular hurricanes hitting them. That is relatively rare thank goodness but ITV just had to bump up the drama didn't they.

Ah! It does sound like the programme we saw last year!

I didn't see this the other night, but I remember watching it when it was on originally........I particularly remember the Scottish couple with the excess baggage.........why did they have to be Scottish....????? lol

Cath;)

LOL Cath, that's what I thought. Every country has its fools, but some of ours were displayed on TV last Monday night.

It's up to us to redress the balance and show the Scots for what they are - proud, smart, happy and Disney-obsessed (well this one is anyway).

I thought that couple were part of a comedy act. Did you see the way they had to lift the cases they were so heavy. Slightly overweight ? Bit like me then.

Dimwits.
