Tonga toast ?

Is the tonga toast thats on the AK RFC menu the same as the tonga toast at the Poly?

I haven't had it there, but from others' posts it is not the same. What the differences are, I couldn't say. Makes sense since RFC is not a Disney restaurant and they have their own corporate recipes.

No. The Tonga Toast as Rainforest presents it is cinnamon french toast with regular pancake syrup, served with some cut-up bananas and strawberries on it.

The Tonga Toast as Kona/Captain Cook's presents it is banana-stuffed french toast, covered with cinnamon sugar, and (if you get it at Kona) drizzled with a raspberry coulis (sauce). Captain Cook's does it without the sauce.

I knew it was some sort of red berry

Mine has always been poured over it, but then I haven't been to Kona in about a year so maybe they've chaged the habit... would be better, I suppose, since it seems the bottom of the toast is always soaked in the coulis.

We were there 2 weeks ago and 2 times we went over to Captain Cooks for the Tonga toast, it's so gooood
