tomorrowland transit authority

As all the OP have said, TTA is your ride to re-group, kick back, get off those aching feet, and enjoy some relaxtion time. We never miss this ride and take the loop sometimes twice. There is very rarely a line, and when there is, it moves quick.

We love the TTA (people mover) when my youngest was on her first trip at nine months old, she and I did the loop 5-6 times, while the rest of the family went off and rode space mountain. It was really nice to ride during the Christmas Holidays, the lights around the castle were something to see.

Paging Mr Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow....

Gotta love that one.

I think its probably the most under rated (and least appreciated) ride in all the world. I love it for all the above posted reasons.

We really love it--and it is pretty hard to get a 40 yo, 37 yo, 17 yo, and 15 yo to agree on anything. I guess it sort of has a cult clasic following, like Carousel of Progress.

Originally named the WEDway People mover, it is just like everyone has said, a nice ride to take a break on and enjoy a breeze as you move at the speed of about 7 miles an hour through tommorow land. It goes through some rides and a shop. It is a classic ride that has a charm to it.

We like it too! It was funny this past summer when we carried my son's girlfriend on her first trip to WDW. She is not a big fan of roller coasters so we talked her into riding TTA before she got on Space Mtn. We told her how she could see the lights on the side of the cars on SM glowing in the dark when it moved on the track. We got to the point where you hear a voice say "You are now entering Space Mtn" and when we rounded the corner, the lights were on. Her mouth dropped and so did ours. They were doing some type of maintenance check on SM and had the entire place lit up. She ended up riding SM several times and loved it! We stayed on TTA and rode it a second time just to see SM lit up and because it gave our feet a much needed rest!!!

Do I get points deducted for still referring to this ride as the WEDway People Mover? :p

After a long day of walking and/or heat, this ride is fantastic. You get right on and it jets you around Tomorrowland. When I took some of my friends who were "worried" about what Space Mountain was like, I took them on this first so they could see inside. You can also see inside Buzz Lightyear and you pass by some models of futuristic cities, which I've read was actually Walt's original plans for EPCOT.

And you get to hear the announcer call, "Paging Mr. Tom Morrow..." which always makes my day (you can also hear Mr. Tom Morrow being referred to in the Star Tours queue).

So high points:

1. Gets you out of the heat for a bit
2. Lets you rest your feet
3. Gives you a sneak peek at the attractions within Tomorrowland

:thumbsup2

Originally named the WEDway People mover,
Was it the exact same ride when it was called WEDway mover? Has it changed any since then?
I'll have to agree with everyone. Its great!, and even better when its raining! Perhaps they should rename it "The R&R ride". :)

If my memory serves me correctly, it's pretty much the same. Of course, when depending on MY memory, there should always be a disclaimer - so, this is my disclaimer. :p

I'm pretty sure it is the same ride, I think only the attractions it goes through have changed, such as Buzz...hopefully I'm right.

I still call it the WEDway people mover myself, so I think that is the correct name :) ...of course I still call Dinosaur "count down to extension"

We always like this one as nice relaxing break or at night. We just sit back and relax.

I like the suggestion of hopping off when you are waiting for someone in your party to get off of Space Mountain.

We will have to try that this trip !

the path and cars are the same, the audio has changed and some of the scenes you see are different (some misc. "future" scenes like a hair salon and Buzz related stuff)

Where's the hair salon? I totally don't remember that. Let me know where I need to look for next time. :thumbsup2

It's on the right, IIRC it's in the first dark area. It's just a very quick look at a lady under a big device and you see a pic of whats going on inside with her hair

Thanks. I can't believe I've missed that. I'll make sure to look next time I'm there. There's so much I still haven't seen and I've been umpteen hundred times (okay, maybe not that many). :p

And I may be wrong, but I think there is some type of hidden mickey in the hair salon, maybe on the ladies belt or something?? So keep an eye out!

Awesome! Thanks!

TTA is a must for me and my DBF. It's wonderful for relaxing...especially since it is air conditioned in parts! We can always jump right on it when we want a quick break with some entertainment! :thumbsup2

If you get points deducted I will too because I'll always call it the WEDway People Mover! :p

One of the highlights of every trip is riding this at least twice. :sunny:

.

There really isn't anything to it, but we love it. It's one of the best things at MK - although I can see why some people would get off it and want those few minutes of their life back...

Personally though, I think it shows you everything you have ridden or can get excited about riding. It's great at night, and the views in Space Mountain are fab. We love it.
