We just did this for our party of 6 and really enjoyed it. However, it is SO expensive. Just wanted to let people know that it is a prepaid event. Therefore, I booked it when my granddaughter was 2. She turned 3 a month before our trip. But since I paid for it whilst she was still 2, I was able to get her in for free. Good tip for those thinking of booking this. Don't wait until your child is 3.

Well... maybe.

That's not really how those things normally work at WDW.

If that was the usual way they did things, guests could book their tickets and resort rooms when their kids were below the next cut-off age and not pay the extra amount when the trip began.
Or, just buy a bunch of "under 10 years" tickets when your kids are just under 10, then use those on trips after the kids turn 10. That won't work, either.

Sounds like you were lucky on this one.
