Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party????

Going for our second time in beginning of April. Family of four. For the $90 or it cost was worth it. Kids enjoyed the desserts and wasn't wall to wall people

But for double the price for basically the same thing? No chance.

At least epcot gives you booze for roughly the same price. Still charge to much but at least a little more understanble

How much dessert can you eat? $10-$15? So paying $35 -$40 for a side angle view of wishes.

Think disney is getting out of hand with all these extra parties. Wishes, illuminations, harambe nights etc

I agree, but since every one of them sells out practically every single night... they're going to keep adding them.

I was looking forward to doing this with the kids, but I don't think we'll do that now. There is no way they would eat anywhere near $60 worth of dessert. I bet I could come close though. :cake:

Does anyone know what time we can book reservations online? There was a new Wishes Dessert Party option on the dining website last week but it is gone now. Will this be booked under the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party or will it have a new place to book??

You can start making reservations for the new party tomorrow morning. I believe it's at either 6 or 8AM. Check out the new prices though because it has doubled.

Thanks for the info. The price increase seems a little extreme. But, I am wanting to book this for our anniversary so I am willing to splurge a little for this.

It figures, we finally decide to make reservations for this and the price goes up. Actually we tried last year but way to late because they were sold out. So this year I was ready and waiting. We will still do this even with the price change, we really would like to try it at least once anyway.

Not unreasonable, though. 49$ for adults and 29$ for kids....that part is a little steep. I will be up tomorrow at 6 am to make my reservations.

I don't know about the rest of the events, but the Illuminations dessert party doesn't sell out. They even cut back the number of nights from when they started it.

Wow, what price gouging.

So for the prices, the $49, is that for adults (who can drink the cider), or for "Disney Adults", some of whom can't drink the cider?

I'm sure I can guess the answer to this.

So the price for my family went up from about $100 bucks to $180. Awesome.

ETA: So it's just a cider toast? Not even unlimited cider? Crazy.

I'm guessing the cider is non-alcoholic so all "Disney Adults" will be charged at the $49 price--which is absolutely crazy! We went a couple years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. But at $200 for our family, no way in you-know-where!!!

But I love the progression. We started with this party, which wasn't cheap, but seemed reasonable by Disney standards. Then we added the Epcot version, added alcohol, doubled the price. People started booking it right up. (I know it's since dwindled some, but there are certainly people still willing to pay that amount.) The price increase was justified by adding alcohol and some fancier desserts. So now we go back to MK double the price, but without the alcohol. And people will still book it!!! I don't blame Disney. As long as they've got people willing to pay for it, they're going to do it. But how does ANYONE justify $50 for a few cupcakes???

Oh that's true, it's not alcohol. Although at the Illuminations dessert party, they charge "Disney Adults" the full price but they can't drink the sparkling wines!

But yeah, the progression is unbelievable. I knew a price jump was coming but I thought they would throw in a tchotchke or something. I don't see what the enhancements are here? Tablecloths?

Oh, you forgot the Olaf cupcakes! There's your enhancement! Slap Frozen anything on it and people will line up to give you money for it!!!

Well I made my reservations today for in August and of course the system was messing up with an error message. I had 13 charges on my credit card because I kept clicking to try to get it to go through. I called Disney and they said they would be dropped off my credit card. So far they are still there.

Same thing happened to me - 9 times. What a fiasco! I finally did get a reservation with a confirmation number, so I'm hoping when the others drop off, that doesn't go away too.

That's funny. The only reason that didn't happen to me is I remember reading on this site that people had the same problem with BOG lunch ressies so I patiently waited with fingers crossed hoping that the first click went through. I have one confirmation number but will check my credit card just to be on the safe side;) I can't believe how much this trip is costing me ~it's all going to fall apart if there isn't a good fall room discount!

We just made our reservation as well. No problems!:yay: Wish the price hadn't doubled, but we've been wanting to try it. We will be going on the first night of our trip. I know the kids will love it, and chairs sound good, followed by a couple extra Magic hours!

I don't actually mind paying the higher prices as much as it bothers me to pay adult prices for my 10 yo daughter who never eats anything. :(

There are chairs, but just for eating and drinking....once wishes starts, everyone stands at the railing, and they don't allow you to drag the chairs over to the railing. It's still nice that you are at most 3 deep watching wishes instead of the whole crowd with kids on shoulders. Glad we got to do this a couple of weeks ago.....woulda done it again in a heartbeat, but not at twice the price.

Haven't seen the new hub area in person but my feeling is grab a few cupcakes or snacks and fast pass wishes and sit on the grass

Save $200 and get a dead on view

Party was nice for current price. For double don't see the value. As others have said everyone stands during the fireworks anyway. Plus you have a side view which to me isn't as nice as head on. Plus not sure how $50 for 10 and up is worth it

Many will pay so guess that is why they are doing it. On the disney blog they said it has enhanced drinks and snacks and is inline with other parties

That must be some really good cupcakes and apple cider!!

Lucky my 11 year old loves desserts because that's what she'll be eating for dinner to make it worth the $49. What the heck ~ it's vacation.. right?

If I had a choice of this dessert party or a fireworks cruise which would be better? We are a group of adults.
