I just booked this for Nov. Has anyone been? What is it like? Something special that you would do again?

We did it July last year and are doing it again in October. Certainly not a must do, but a nice way to enjoy the fireworks in a less crowded (dessert filled) environment.

We did this past July. Nice experience and the desserts are delicious. It is an enjoyable experience and we would do it again as it was a nice way to watch fireworks without the crowd.

haven't been yet, but have rezzies for the 14th (or 15th). Very excited to try it,looks yummy

We have done it once and I agree that it was a nice way to see the fireworks. You are off to the side but it's still easy to see and not be mashed into a sea of people. Having said that, I do not believe that I would do it again. It cost almost $100 for the four of us. The desserts were great but extremely rich, so even though you would love to eat a ton, you just can't. Even DS, who was almost 18, didn't eat $25 worth. :goodvibes
The other thing was that you can't see the parade. I knew this booking it but thought that I wouldn't mind missing it. In reality, I really did miss watching the parade.
The seating was nice and we booked early to get a front row table, but once the fireworks start, everyone moves to the railing. In order to see, you have to go to the railing as well. It defeated the purpose of DH being able to relax and drink coffee during the fireworks.
It was a great experience and I am glad that we tried it...but I doubt that I would pay the money for our family to do it again.

how did you book this? was in online or do you need to call and with CC details :confused3

You can book it online at the same place you book your ADR's.

We went in March (DH & I, DD, 20 and her boyfriend, 27.) It got a big thumbs up from all of us. It was wonderful to have a place to sit away from the crowds. There was a wide variety of desserts and we liked the Photopass opportunity. DD has not watched the fireworks since she was small and was shocked that Tinkerbell is an actual person who flew right over our heads. :lmao: Everyone really enjoyed it and it's absolutely something we'd do again.

If someone gave this to me as a gift, I would love it and enjoy the heck out of it. But paying $75 for three people would drive the enjoyment right out of it. I would be just as happy getting each of us an ice cream at the Plaza and watching the fireworks from the area between there and the dessert party. Pretty much the same view, with dessert in hand, and an extra $60 in my pocket.

We are attending our first party on 11/25 and DD (16) hasn't seen the fireworks up close so Tinkerbell will be a big surprise for her too :goodvibes

my family LOVED IT a family of 5 we had a great table and saw same of the parade and the dessert was to die for!!!! Yes others did get up but did not keep us from seeing anything.....now would I do it again if it was just my family no but if my family from CA was to go with us then yes I would:)

I would really love to book this for June but I have a few concerns, I guess. I assume that June is during the "high season" so I should expect to pay $35.99 + tax per adult. I just want it to be me and my bf (extreme sweet tooth and bottomless tummy) but I don't think the two of us can eat $70+ worth of desserts. I'm sure a handy Ziploc bag could though  but I think that would be frowned upon and viewed as distasteful :snooty:. Lucky for me, we still have quite some time to really think this over.

The two of us are trying it in late October, sort of a preview of whether or not we want to book for more people on our December trip.

I'm skipping dinner that night and hoping I'll be really, really hungry... :woohoo::woohoo:

I am not sure why they have that price there - we have been three time all during busy times (Spring Break and a few weeks ago) and the price has always been the 20 something price.

Wow, really? But you never know, they may have that price listed just in case there is a hike in 2012. I'll just plan according to the highest price. :confused3

Our family did this Nov 2010 and LOVED it! If they are still offering this for our trip Oct 2012, we will definitely do again!:cheer2:

There will definitely be a lot of choices to fill up on at the party! Haha!:)

I have been 5 times so far. It is a highlight for me and my family. The first time yes we probably ate more desserts than the times after, but it is a perfect place to relax, enjoy the treats, see a perfect view in my opinion of the castle, get photopass pics of the family. You are up close and personal with Tinkerbelle, and everyone there tends to be happier because they have a seat and know that they don't have to fight to see the fireworks.

I give it 5 thumbs up!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

I just booked for the day after Thanksgiving and was charged with tax $29.81 per adult.

Is it worth the money??? My bf is on the frugal side and would kill me if he even knew that I would be paying this kind of money for something like this. Is the price really for the experience and view of the fireworks or do you really think Disney expects everyone to eat enough desserts to get their money's worth?

Thanks for that info, wdwnut!

Quick question: Does anyone know of the seating capacity for the Dessert Party?
