I had enough points to book three nights, but want 4 nights. Can I use other resort points to book that fourth night? Or do I have to cancel the first night, use those points for the fourth night and then book the first night? So far what I need is available.

Book today and then walk it a day tomorrow.

If the same UY, contract, then you can use them. If not you will need to wait for 7 mo from that extra day. Good luck.

So you booked 3 nights with home resort points and want to add a 4th night? Usually you would have to rebook or else wait until 7 months from that 4th night but you can rebook it all tomorrow in a single reservation from day of check in if it's all available. I'm not cetain what the system will think if you go to modify. If everything is available I'd think it should work to just do it that way.

Though I am not sure, it sounds like you used home resort points during the home resort reservation period to reserve the first three nights with an arrival date 7 months form tomorrow.In that case you will not be able to add a fourth night tomorrow using points from a different resort unless you just do away with the initial reservation and create a new one for the four nights. Otherwise, you would have to wait until 7 months out from the night to be added to reserve it.

If the first and fourth nights of your trip are still shown as open tomorrow, but not your second or third night, you could go online tomorrow and modify your existing reservation to be one for the second through fourth nights that you want and then make a separate reservation using the other resort points for the first night and then contact MS and have it merge the reservations (if both contracts have the same use yea; if not you can have have the reservations linked

Ok, thank you all! Same UY for the points, and as of now, everything is available. I just realized I have enough “other resort points” in this UY to book all four nights tomorrow.

My DS’s family of four really prefer their own one bedroom, so while I had enough points to book a two bedroom for all of us, I did not have enough to book two one bedrooms. So, they have four nights, we have three. Have to get us the one more night.

I did not have to cancel. I just modified and was able to add the fourth night. The AKV home resort points were locked, and I used other points to complete the reservation. I was so happy, because I checked shortly thereafter and the first night was no longer available.
