Tomorrow I make my first DVC reservation and I have a question?

First off I'm totally exciting to be making my first reservation! We want to reserve a 2 bedroom villa at AKL Kidani standard view from 06/04 - 06/12. We also want to add the regular dining plan but at a later date. Our schedule looks like this 06/04 - 06/06 we'll be doing two disney parks, 06/07 - 06/08 well be hopping over to Universal studios, then 06/09 - 06/12 we'll be back at Disney for the other two park days and a rest day before we leave. I want to add dining for all the nights we'll be at Disney. So 06/07 and 06/08 well be eating at Universal.

How do I make my reservation? Book the week as a whole or can I break it up? I know they changed the dining reservations to give DVC members some flexiblity. If I break up the reservation into three separate reservations will I have to "walk" the reservations? KWIM? I think I'm making this harder than it should be, right?

though it was still for DDP the entire stay or nothing.

although others have say they could do what they wanted.

so hoping someone with newer information will post.

that say would make 3 reservations to be on the safe side. that say would go for one of the universal hotels - Loews - they have FOIE for their hotels - which is really great if you are going to see the new harry potter.
