I actually prefer the Club crackers with tomato soup..... but give me saltines with peanut butter.... other than that, I really never eat crackers, except maybe oyster crackers in oyster stew... about once a year.

I agree. Club crackers are awesome.

Me too... raosted tomato basil soup.... I make it. ( but I do find it a PITB to make )
 
Salt-free oyster crackers in the tomato soup.

Salt-free Saltines (we call them "ines" around here) for peanut butter.

I don't really want the kids developing that love of salty foods, so I try to keep the sodium to a minimum. I don't even keep salt shakers around. You want seasoning? Get some Mrs. Dash. :)

V-8 a little 1/2 & 1/2, celery salt and hot sauce makes a pretty good quick cream of tomato soup. add a can of petite diced tomatoes wtih basil and garlic and you've got a pretty darn good tomato soup.

when I was little, we used to put Pringles in our tomato soup. yum!!
 
I only eat tomato soup if it's made with milk. It's too strong for me otherwise.

I eat mine with saltines, but I prefer it with Zesta Oyster crackers -- they're actually on the sweet side with a little salt. I can't find them where I live anymore.

Yum! Thanks for the ideas! I never thought to try that and I like V8 once in a while. (it's best as a bloody Mary)

YUM!! That's my version of tomato soup also. I will only use the low-sodium stuff though and I add lots of fresh cracked pepper and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese. Then I dip whole wheat Ritz crackers in it. Perfect on a chilly day.
