I have a new Whirlpool stainless steel ceramic top electric range. I was heating spaghetti sauce the other day and when I lifted the pot lid, some of the tomato sauce spattered on the control panel of my new range. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until the next day. This part of the range looks like SS, but I'm not positive that it is. The control knobs are black plastic. I CANNOT get these spots off the control panel. I've tried dish detergent and water, Windex, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a little vinegar - no luck. The stains will not budge - at all. It's as if they have become part of the control panel.
Since this range is less than six weeks old, it doesn't bode well for the future, does it? I mean, things like this happen. How the heck am I going to get these stains off this stove.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
