This morning it was announced that Tom Wolber, who currently is the president of Disneyland Paris (and has been doing a fantastic job there), will leave that job. The press release also went into detail as to that he is going to return to DCL. He has been with DCL and was working on the launch of the Dream and Fantasy.

This is what the press release said about him:

Powell replaces Tom Wolber, who will return to the United States to take on operational responsibilities of Disney Cruise Line at a critical time for that business. Disney recently announced it is adding two additional ships to the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

“Tom’s knowledge of shipbuilding is unparalleled, as he previously oversaw a number of complex expansion projects including the successful launches of the Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. We are grateful for his many contributions in Paris and are anxious to have him back at the Cruise Line to oversee our latest expansion,” said Holz.

Karl Holz of course is the head of DCL, or to quote his official title: president of New Vacation Operations and Disney Cruise Line.

Having seen what Tom Wolber has done in DLP, I think this is a very good move. I am also wondering if this means that he will one day inherit Karl Holz' role at DCL considering that Karl Holz isn't that young anymore...
