Just confirmed on the Late Show with David Letterman! He's playing Walt Disney in a movie about the making of Mary Poppins! Can't wait for that film to come out!

I cannot wait for this movie!

Check out Tom Hanks doing the two finger point on SNL this week!

One of my favorite actors playing one of my favorite people....how could this get any better!!!???!!:yay::yay::cool1::cool1::thumbsup2:

I LOVE Tom Hanks!!! I think this is a great casting decision. However, I read somewhere that to get into the role he actually took up chain smoking. Seriously? I think that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I know actors like to immerse themselves in the character, but why on Earth would he take up the very thing that killed Walt Disney?

Here is the article that talks about Tom Hanks chain smoking his way through the movie...

This Friday they are going to be filming here in LA and they are looking for extras. There is a wrbsite woth the info and extras have to dress like 50's. Even the fingernails can't have the modern square cut. They will be filming from 11pm to 7am. Hoe cool is that!

From what I've read on IMDB and other entertainment sites the movie is call Saving Mr. Banks and has a scheduled release date of Dec. 20, 2013. It also stars some other Oscar winners like Emma Thompson and Paul Giammatti. I bet this movie is going to be fabulous. I hope it's a positive reflection of Walt. Sometimes movies like to take a darker take on those successful just to spin a story.

I actually brought this up on my segment for the show this week. I heavily considered doing it, but then realized the personal expenses for doing my own hair, brows, and makeup in the period style, buying a dress that met the criteria, as well as taking some time off work to do this was going to cost more than I felt like doing for the money.

Did I mention it's filming just down the street from where I work?

Tom Hanks can do no wrong in my book.

I mean, two of my favorite 80's movies are The Money Pit and The 'Burbs. I'm very forgiving. :lmao:

Also, am I the only one who found his GMA F-bomb kinda funny? The way him and the anchor reacted was priceless!!!!

I'm so happy that he's playing Walt. I think it'll be such an awesome movie.
