Tom Brady Returning to Bucs

Many top athletes think they can still perform one more season and then reality sets in that age, injuries or both means they aren't nearly as good as they used to be. With football it is also about the coaching as well as the quality of the others players. If they can't play defense, no matter how good of a quarterback they have will still struggle.

Don’t even get me started……although it is refreshing to see a lot more meh to negative feelings on his return especially since people saw how he essentially overshadowed Ben Rothelsbergers retirement with his own announcement and then came back.
I have god knows how many reasons he would know I would be the reason he didn’t unanimously get into the hall of fame. This was just added to the list.

Agree. I think nothing has really changed with Tampa's offence (including the fact that Leftwich is still the OC). So I think the main factor really is whether Brady still has it or not.

I don’t follow the NFL closely, but wasn’t he in contention for the MVP last year? Was that legit or a sort of lifetime achievement award? If legit, it seems he probably still “has it.”

He was second in voting this year.

For what it's worth - love him or hate him, he's still probably in the top half of QBs in the NFL right now. Which is pretty crazy, given that he's 45.

Guess he's had enough family time.
So he's decided to unretire! smh

It showed that he "had it" last year.

Consider this: Brady will be 45 next season and is very late into his career. So you're looking at a combination of years of wear and tear, plus fighting the issue of simply getting older. "Losing a step" isn't an issue for most of us. It could be devastating for a high-level athlete. For a QB, it's the difference between getting rid of a football or taking a sack.

Now I'm not saying that Brady is done. But I am curious to see if he can still function at that high level when training camp starts.

$$$$$.............clearly will make far more playing football then being an announcer !!!........LOL
I think you’re joking. 🤣 I don’t think they’re hurting for money and it’s definitely not a motivator at all. Gisele retired and is worth more than double her husband. She probably had enough of him pouting around the house that he couldn‘t play anymore.

From what I do know as a non-NFL fan but as a bit of a fitness nut myself, I don’t think I would bet against him.

All joking aside, I think that when an athlete reaches that elite level, it is hard for them to give up the lime light, the attention and praise, the game. It seems to hit a lot of them. Take Brett Farve, for instance, who left the Packers and went to a poor season with the Vikings. He has all the money he will ever want, the perfect family, he has it all. I feel that football gives him purpose and the glory he needs.
I do think he has faded a little last year in his playing, but IMO.

I'm not sure which way to go, to be honest. I'm content to let things play out and see what happens.

I'd rather watch Brady play footbrawl than listen to the Mannings in their endless commercials and their commentary on ESPN.

And yeah, I know not everyone shares that opinion. I hear there's another Manning rising up the ranks.
I love the Mannings lol. I think they are at least better than listening to Romo or the blonde haired guy whose name is escaping me. Also 100% better than listening to Gruden during the awful year or 2 he was an announcer.

I guess two months of family time was more than enough for him. :rotfl2:
He realized hed have to listen to the endless minecraft stories and couldn't use "watching film" as an excuse to ignore it anymore :rotfl2:
Giselle: "Gas prices are rising, you might just want to spend more time at home. You know, with me and the kids."
Tom: "BRB, going to unretire."

Not surprising this news has left people feeling a little deflated.
Dead!!!

WRINKLES 28. AGE SPOTS 57, GIT OFF MA LAWN HUT HUT...
Brady takes the snap. He's back to pass

He looks a bit immobile back there. Let's hope his line holds up.
