"Reimagined" could mean a lot of things outside just a paintjob. Given the changes of late, I'll reserve judgement until it reopens or more information is available. Don't get me wrong. We own at BLT and loved the Lounge, but will we love it with whatever new parameters may be introduced? That remains to be seen.

I saw this too. I am super excited. We have only been members for about a year so haven't had the opportunity to check it out yet. Hopefully we can go there on our next trip at the end of August.

I am wondering if reimagined could also mean its going to have different rules for eligibility. Being it is a commercial unit, and Disney is the one who operates it, not DVC, you have to wonder. Could it be something that offers only paid events?

As you know, it has always been available for paid events. I really doubt it will be exclusively for paid events, though certainly anything is possible.

They could do any number of things, but I'm hoping that since the access is directly thru a DVC property, it should be limited to DVC members in some way. At this point, I don't think them experimenting with some kind of 'cover charge' is beyond possibilities. It is inevitable that it will appear beyond BW at some point. And we know the lounge has supposedly never made money in its current/past form.

Color me pessimistic. Chapstick made me that way, and Josh hasn't proven to be much better.

My greatest fear is that they open access to anyone willing to open their pocketbooks, and not just DVC members. I see all kinds of problems with that scenario that I won't even go into here, not the least of which is that members will probably never be able to get in there again, even if you're staying at BLT.
