Toll routes in FL

I will be driving to Fl for the first time in about two weeks and i had some questions about toll roads in Fl. I have heard that there is quite a few. How much do they usually cost? I saw on a map that there is a toll for the FL turnpike that is like $13 or something crazy! Is this true? What the heck is it for!!!? Thanks for any help!

We are coming through Georgia via I-75 and I also would like to avoid any roads with costly tolls. Is it true that it costs 12.50 to take the FL turnpike!?? Thanks!

I don't recall it being more than 5 bucks. It seemed like 2-3 stops at a couple of dollars each.
You could get off I75 and take 27-but wasted time and gas is not worth the aggrevation to avoid the toll IMO.

If you take the Florida turnpike from I-75 all the way to Miami, the tolls would probably be around $13. Just going from I-75 to Osceola Parkway, is $3.25 using cash. I think the SunPass rates are a little cheaper though.
