Any toll roads or highways on Oahu that we should be aware of? We'll be driving a lot - to and from airport, North Shore, Kailua, Kualoa Ranch and want to be prepared with cash or a pass from the rental car company. Thanks!

Theirs no toll roads on Oahu. Around 6:30-9am H1 bound for Honolulu has major traffic and 3pm-7pm on the same Freeway heading to Aulani get's crowded. So if your traveling from Honolulu/Waikiki for the day plan ahead for traffic, either stay for dinner or leave later after breakfast. Also their is a HOV fast lane honolulu bound, however once your on it in the morning you can't get off until you reach Honolulu. However if you are traveling to North Shore and Kailua, you cut off 1/2 of traffic time. Beach parking is free everywhere except in Waikiki.

This and if you are driving, NO SPEEDING!!! Last time we were there, we saw many people pulled over during our stay

@igomezhnl thanks for the info on the traffic. How's the H3 look in the afternoon? We'll be traveling from Kailua to Anna Miller's specifically, probably around dinner time, on a Wednesday. Doesn't look like we'd have to go onto H1 but seems like it could be a congested area, as we'll pass Pearl Harbor area I think.

Yes absolutely. No speeding, also they check to see if you have passengers in the van. You can only ride in the HOV with 2 or more passengers.

Your staying in Kailua? Awesome great choice, that's where I reside currently :). Semi Traffic at the end of the H3 entering onto OnRamp. But shouldn't take to long, since Anna Millers is almost right off H-3. Maps on iphone is pretty accurate in regards to traffic, waze too. I see you like the strawberry pies too lol
