The E-PASS Service Center MUST be notified of your new vehicle information if you move the transponder.

Yes, you should call them and inform them of the vehicle you're putting the transponder into. But if you don't or if they're closed, the SunPass transponder will still work.

Having a SunPass transponder will save on tolls at some (but not all) SunPass toll plazas. It will not save any money (but will still operate) on tolls carryng the E-PASS logo. On TOLL 528 (Beachline) between MCO and Disney, there is one of each. On TOLL 417 (Greeneway) between MCO and Disney, both toll plazas are E-PASS.

The car information can also be updated online. If for some reason the transponder is not working when passing a toll plaza and your car information are not up-to-date, you will be fined for toll running.
