The E-PASS Service Center MUST be notified of your new vehicle information if you move the transponder.
Yes, you should call them and inform them of the vehicle you're putting the transponder into. But if you don't or if they're closed, the SunPass transponder will still work.
Having a SunPass transponder will save on tolls at some (but not all) SunPass toll plazas. It will not save any money (but will still operate) on tolls carryng the E-PASS logo. On TOLL 528 (Beachline) between MCO and Disney, there is one of each. On TOLL 417 (Greeneway) between MCO and Disney, both toll plazas are E-PASS.
