Tokyo Disney Picture of the day

those pictures are AMAZING. i had no idea tokyo disney was so unique.
i wanna go!

Those pictures are AMAZING! Ive always wanted to go to Tokyo Disney and Japan in general.
To answer the question about the language, I'm pretty sure you have to be fluent in the language of the country. Like French in Paris Disney, Chinese in Hong Kong, Japanese in Tokyo...And i think the face characters would have to be true to whatever race the original character is.
Thank you for all those wonderful pictures!!

WHAT AMAZING PICTURES!! I LOVE THEM AND WANT TO GO SO BADLY!!

I think that the language barrier is truly the largest hurdle, after $$, for most. Can you tell me about how that affected your trip? Do CMs speak English? Are there translations of signs or is it all in Japanese? Are shows all in Japanese as well? Soundtracks? I'm just so curious about everything!! Thanks for the pictures!

I'm back from my long Holiday to WDW and Disneyland. Here is an old photo from DisneySea

To answer some of the questions...
They use westerners in the face characters.
Some CM's speak good English, most speak some basic English.
The shows are a usually a mix of Japanese and English, although some are completely Japanese, and I remember the Broadway Music Theatre show was completely in English...Just like a real Broadway show. The lead singers were westerners and the back up dancers are Japanese. A fantastic show BTW.
There is a Partners Statue in Tokyo Disneyland.
I live in Brisbane, Australia.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I couldn't resist. :rolleyes1

Wow, Robert... these pictures are really very cool to look at. The DisneySea park is like no other place in the WORLD! It's like what Disney could do but for some reason figures we in the states aren't sophisticated enough to want.

Hope to see at least a PINCH of this kind of creativity and detail with the new DCA stuff.. Unfortunately, "Cars Land" doesn't feel like it will lend itself to a Hotel Highwater-esque feel! oh..boy, more route 66 signs.

Anyway, great pics.. I wish I could take 4 weeks off and spend them anywhere ... and to spend them at DISNEY... so dang cool! You are, indeed, my IDOL! :worship:

ROFL.. I just read this post to my DH and told hem about your trip and that you live in Australia and he said, "Good." :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I like me some Disney men :thumbsup2

RobertTG I love your Disney pictures. Thanks for posting. I've heard so many wonderful things about Tokyo Disney Sea and Tokyo DL and I've been wanting to go for a long time. You're right about how expensive it can be hanging out at the various POTD threads!:lmao: Makes me want to go more often too!

I just found this thread. What awesome pictures! :thumbsup2
I was just talking about how I would love to plan a trip to Tokyo Disney and this thread has definitely added fuel to the fire.

Thanks!

When it's hot... it's hot. So, this boat goes around Mediterranean Harbour with Characters with "Water Cannons" to squirt the crowds. Did I say Squirt...or Soak. :lmao:

thanks for posting them!

Great pics Robert...

We have a regular (though he hasn't been around recently) over on the photo board, 0bli0. He lives in Sydney, Austraila and ventures up to Tokyo Disney, Disney Sea and Hong Kong Disney quite a bit. If I can get a hold of him I'll send him this way.

In the mean time here are some posts with some of his work...
