Hi,
There doesn't seem to be much info on the boards about Tokyo Dining. It is one of the few places still available for the Candlelight Proc. dinner package on the nights we can go. Anyone have any thoughts on this place?
Thanks in advance, Murphy

We had lunch there in 2008. I remember the kids meal being pretty horrible. The presentation was nice in a Monorail dish but food was bland and yucky. The reason I know this is dd refused to eat her meal and I had to give her my meal to eat instead. I had shrimp tempura and it was fine nothing special.

I've never eaten there, but I want too! (I LOVE sushi!)

Sake flights!

We had one of the best meals of our family trip at Tokyo Dining in 2009. Three sons discovered that they like sushi, sashimi and tempura.

This past summer DH and I did a walk up for lunch. Cool, calming environment, great food and I discovered that I prefer dry sake over sweet.

The stairs sure seemed steep on the way out :goodvibes

I absolutely love Tokyo Dining. We tried it when we had free dining and now we go every time we go back to the park. I'm not big on Japanese food, but the NY style chicken is very good. The rest of my family loved the sushi.
It's also a very nice, calm place. It's a nice break from walking around.

I like Tokyo Dining but don't love it. I would return, but I don't consider it a top priority. I prefer it to Teppan Edo, its counterpart in the Japan pavilion of World Showcase.

I recommend it for sushi beginners, because the menu offers plenty of safe, recognizable rolls. I love sushi and personally found everything a bit bland and boring. Definitely not bad, but not memorable, either.

DH is a total Japanese culture nut, and dinner here was probably his most favorite of all of the meals we've had at WDW. We were kidless at the time, so I can't say how that would go, but our waitress was awesome and even wrote down some Japanese words phonetically at DH's request! He had the best time stumbling along with his limited Japanese with her :goodvibes

We happened to be eating dessert when Illuminations started, and were pleasantly surprised when they dimmed the lights and pumped the music in. So much nicer than crowding outside in the heat to watch!

We've eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed ourselves. DH always gets sushi of some kind or another and I always get tempura. Both were delicious.

The service is extremely friendly and you'll see lots of bowing. It can be a quiet, calm atmosphere, though I've also been there when it was rather chaotic.
