Tokyo Dining or Teppan Edo?

In looking at the menus for these two restaurants, they seem very similar. Can someone tell me the differences between the two? My dh loves Japanese cuisine and sushi in particular. Which one should we try for dinner?

The food is excellent at both.

Teppan Edo is a hibachi restaurant, where there's a big grill at the table and the chef cooks your food while you watch. People are seated in groups of 8 (I think) so you will probably be sitting with strangers. It's like Benihana.

Tokyo Dining is more of an ordinary restaurant, with one party per table and the food prepared back in the kitchen. I didn't try the sushi there, but my brother has and he loved it. I can tell you from my experience that the tempura shrimp and scallops are very tasty!

Teppan Edo is a family tradition...

It is the TS I have done the most at Epcot.... pretty much a Family tradition....

DS (now 17) will not allow me to plan a visit without it...he has now been to WDW 10 times..... (since the stroller days)

It is the usual Hibachi meal (cooked in front of you with a "Show") VERY FUN!

I miss it so much... I made DH take me to Hibachi last Saturday...however I found our local Hibachi paled in comparison to Teppan Edo.

You can order Sushi as an appetizer at Teppan Edo...however if you are doing the DDD...it will be OOP....

Tokyo Dining is right next door...and appeared to have other sushi options...however I am on disboards religiously and have heard that Kimono in the Swan is the best Sushi option at WDW...I plan to check that out in May.

If you are looking for a Great ...Fun...entertaining show with your meal...Lots of food...and a break from the park... I totally recommend Teppan Edo...
