Tokyo Dining On the Dining Plan...

I love sushi and I saw the Tokyo dining menu and thinking of getting the California Roll but that's less than 8 dollars and I believe it's counted as an entree. Does that mean for my entree all I get is one $8 California roll? Kind of a rip off and defiantly NOT filling

The allearsnet menu for July lists the sushi as apps.

So you can either order it as your entree and feel cheated or order it as an app and pay OOP.

The sushi roll menu at Tokyo Dining is not covered by the dining plan at all. If you want sushi on the dining plan, you will need to order it as part of one of the listed combination platters.

We've always loved Tokyo Dining, but have always been told we couldn't use the DDP for sushi period. We usually get the Bento Box or Gozen combo. If on the DxDDP our choices for appetizer have been very limited (salad, soup, shrimp cocktail, or edamame). It's been about a year since we ate there though, so they may have added some other items by now.

California Grill might include sushi, depending on the plan you have or how you order. If you're on the deluxe plan you can get sushi as an appetizer, with the exception of the two most expensive sushi items. If you're on the regular plan, appetizers aren't included. You could order the sushi as your entree...but paying 2 credits to order sushi as an entree isn't considered the best deal for the credits, as the sushi is much less expensive than many of the other entrees.

So other than sushi, what are the other options for food at Tokyo Dining? Can we get steak / teriyaki chicken there on the dining plan? That's more of what I'm going there for anyway.
