Tokyo Dining - July 4th

Hi all,

I was able to secure a 7:10pm dinner reservation at Tokyo Dining in hopes that we can stretch it out long enough to view the 4th of July fireworks from the balcony.

This is my first time eating at Tokyo Dining so I'm not sure how quickly they tend to move things along.

Any recommendations for dinner? I'm thinking the teriyaki chicken or sirloin.

I suppose we can order a few after dinner cocktails to prolong our stay!

What time are the July 4th Fireworks 9, 9:30 or 10? That could be a long stretch there
Actually the balconies is not restricted to dining guests, but is open to the public. I think you will have a better view if you finish up early and head out for a spot on the balcony.

They move things along pretty quickly there. We ate there last year on the 4th of July, with a later reservation, but as Hopefully stated, the balcony is not restricted. It gets very full, especially on holidays. We finished our meal and found a spot in the World Showcase instead of staying on the balcony. As for what to order, both the teryaki chicken and sirloin are very good. Tokyo Dining is a must do for my family on every trip.

If you are going to have an appetizer, entree, and dessert course (just warning you their desserts are really not that good) you can certainly still be sitting at table by the time the fireworks start assuming you get a table no more than 4 rows back from the window.
Ask at the podium if you can have a window table if need be.

We enjoy the different types of miso soups (think they have 3 versions) but our favorite is the clam miso.
The tempura dishes use a light batter and are not overcooked into a rubbery mess as you can find at too many places.
The bento box entrees give a nice array of various dishes (including teriyaki) and the plating is out of the ordinary.
Love the various noodle dishes.
