I have a strange question....

What toiletries are provided in the hotel rooms and in what daily quantity?

Do they provide shampoo, body lotion, etc. and is there enough of it provided for four people to wash twice a day? Can you ask for additional toiletry items from the hotel?

The reason I am asking is that we are trying not to check baggage on the airlines. But by not checking baggage we are limited in regards to liquids/creams.

If the items aren't provided by the hotel we could buy what we need once we arrive in Florida which would still be cheaper than paying to check baggage round trip.

What is offered depends on the type of resort: value, moderate, deluxe. We always stay at the CSR and this is what we got on our last trip:

that's the same supply that's at the Deluxe hotels, too.

At Pop Century, it's just bath soap, hand soap and shampoo. Same brand/bottle of shampoo, but no shower gel, no mouthwash, no toothbrush, no lotion.

At both levels, they replaced anything that was used each day. Those bottles are under 3 ounces, for sure. Were smaller than my own "airplane legal" bottles.

Awesome! Thanks!

For the record we are at the BC - which would put us in the deluxe range.

We spent last week at the Poly, only the basics were supplied daily (lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bar soap). No mouthwash or toothbrushes. The bottles are quite small-1.25 ounces. We had five in our room, we brought our own shampoo.

Can you request extra? We are a family of 6 and I didnt want to pack shampoo and conditioner either. I know we would go through that quickly. Ive never seen toothbrushes offered- thats cool. We will be at the Poly.

What we do is leave an envelope for Mousekeeping with a couple dollars in it and a note asking for extra soap and extra towels.

We are always nicely supplied when we do this.

Maybe you can ship a small box down with the items that you need to the resort. This way you have your own stuff and it would probably still be a bit cheaper than the airline fees.

Yes you can request extra. I have before. Also the shampoo and conditioner is sold in some of the gift shops in some resorts.

We've stayed at Poly & WL and had all of the above except the toothbrushes. I am sure if you need more they will give you want you need-just ask. We just do carry-ons, and bring our own shampoo/lotion etc-in the same small containers that way we have enough.

I think we might ship toiletries as well. I am loving the toothbrush though. My son will get a huge kick out of that.

We ship to and from our resort at WDW all the time. You don't have to worry about anything breaking open or spilling in your luggage. It works out great for us.

I think the CSR is the only one with the toothbrushes (several deluxe people have said they don't get them). I do not think the POR or CBR get them. I think CSR does because it is considered a convention resort.

We have stayed at both the GF and YC and have never received a tooth brush either. Just all the other toiletries.

You can always call and ask for more...for just DH and I one bottle of shower gel, shampoo, lotion and conditioner is fine but where we were at the Poly 2 weeks ago we had our two nieces with us and asked housekeeping for more....they gave us a huge back stuffed with the above items as well as mouthwash, aloe vera gel and extra toothbrushes and paste. Then every day when they cleaned the room they left us MORE! I went home with a huge ziploc bag full of goodies!
