Does anyone know if there are toilet seat covers in the restrooms at WDW parks? I always carry some with me but with 2 kids for 7 days, it sure would be nice if they were already there! ;)

They are at the airport and at almost all public restrooms in Orlando. Disney has them at the public restrooms in all Disney Resorts and hotels.

FYI, I saw this report on 20/20 and they did germ testing on several things and in the bathroom, the toilet seat was actually the cleanest. the floor, and the counter were the worst by far and next the faucets. but the seat was the cleanest and not because of the covers. they actually said that they don't really do anything but become a hassle. Heard that on 20/20 and oprah

I've already bought 3 small cans of Lysol and a pack of Clorox wipes for everything else! (I am a bit of a germaphobe, so I leave nothing to chance, including toilet seats.) I personally will not use public restrooms at all but with 2 kids, it becomes a necessity. :rolleyes1 I have seen droplets of urine left on seats so I know that germs can and do get on there. Having fewer germs than the other germy places just isn't good enough for me, kwim?

yes its wonderful! When i returned to the UK, and used the toilets in the terminal building i was like 'hey where the heck are the toilet covers!'. I hate that we dont have them over here! i must buy loads next time i go!

I hate to burst your bubble, but you'd better try to buy stock if you are going to degerm DisWorld. Think about all the handrails while you wait -- the safety buckles on rides, the sides of rides, the steering wheels, the controllers -- the strollers -- OH MY!!!

You have millions of people walking around without washing their hands in the bathroom, after they sneeze, pick their teeth, or scratch their noses and nether regions. :rotfl:  The money that changes hands, the items in gift shops that have been picked up by hundreds of other people, etc. The bathrooms are least of your worries!

Good luck! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hmmmm... I am not sure WHY you chose to post a reply to this post since it is neither helpful nor responsive to my original question. :confused3

Your reply really serves no other purpose than to exploit my (very real) fears and anxieties.

Obviously, you are blessed enough to live your life free of fears and worries but for many of us, this is not the case. Do you even realize that anxiety disorder (including its subdiagnoses of OCD and germaphobia) are actual illnesses for which people like myself have to seek medical treatment and care??? Do you go around picking on diabetics and cancer patients for funsies, too???

Yes, I am aware I cannot protect my children from every risk of exposure, but if using toilet seat covers, antibacterial gel, Lysol and other products provides me any modicum of security, I will continue to use each and every product at my disposal. The alternative is simply unacceptable to me.

I guess it was far too presumptious of me to believe I could post a simple question and get a simple answer without harsh judgment.
